Somehow even after all these years, those ocean eyes have never once failed to not mesmerize Rachel. Every time she was graced with the sight of those gorgeous eyes, Rachel always felt like she was seen, like every part of her could be read like an open book by those eyes. It was as if those eyes could see through even the most vulnerable parts of her. Rachel was left breathless. Those eyes, she never forgotten about those eyes. Those were the eyes who once stared at her will full admiration and love. They once looked at her as if she was the most precious being they ever saw. Now looking at those eyes, they still shine and glimmer but, it just isn't the same as it used to be. Back then, they soften whenever they saw Rachel while simultaneously shining so bright at the sight of her.

Of course, even now, those eyes soften in familiarity at Rachel, but she could tell that those eyes no longer shone for her. They will only shine at the mere sight of their loved one, their soon to be wife, Roselyn and not her. Rachel didn't mind. It actually didn't bother her in the slightest. In fact, Rachel was actually somewhat relieved because at least she knows for sure that Arthur had fully moved on from her before deciding to get together with Roselyn. The only one left in the past now is Rachel. But that's fine, because Rachel will soon be caught up after this entire meet-up. Rachel can also fully move on once all of this is over. No more being haunted by the past or the what-if's, no more overthinking whether the decision she made back then was right or wrong, no more needing to waste time stressing over something she can't control or change, just the thought of how relaxed she will be after this is pure bliss. Rachel wants be released by the shackles of bad memories and thoughts, and she will be, soon enough, which is relieving.

Rachel took in a deep breath before finally deciding to make her way towards the corner of the café. A small smile could be seen forming on the man's lips as he gestured for Rachel to take a seat. Rachel stared at him for a while longer before setting her purse down and taking a seat facing him. The man chuckled, "Rachel". "Arthur" was all Rachel said as a response. Arthur grinned. "Can't believe we're going back to being awkward with each other again" Arthur said and huffed in disbelief. "Come on Ray, you invited me here for a meet-up, where's the enthusiasm that I know you have? Brighten up a bit Ray, a smile won't hurt, and Rose definitely won't get jealous" Arthur assured. Rachel quirked an eyebrow before frowning, "I never said anything about Roselyn being jealous or some sort". Arthur giggled at that. "I know, just messing with you. In fact, maybe I'm the one who should be concerned if your boyfriend would be jealous right now". Rachel couldn't help but furrow her eyebrows upon hearing that sentence. Her forehead scrunched up. 'What on earth is Arthur talking nonsense about?' she wondered.

Arthur must have noticed Rachel's confused expression before afterwards he immediately continued, "why? did i say something wrong? I'm so sorry if I did, I didn't mean to offend you or anything" he said, sounding like an attempt to comfort Rachel. Rachel shook her head. She could feel her eyebrow twitching due to how confused she is currently. 'why is he so convinced that I have a boyfriend? I'm pretty sure that I was the one who told him that we could get married after university years ago, so why does he think that I'd have moved on so fast?' Rachel didn't really know how to break the news to Arthur so she decided to just be straight forward and honest with him. Rachel coughed a bit to clear her throat, "I-I don't have a boyfriend, Arthur".

Arthur frowned upon hearing Rachel's statement. "Oh, I am so sorry" Arthur apologized. Rachel almost let out a sigh of relief because it meant that Arthur just assumed, she had a boyfriend, which was rude, but at least it wasn't a misunderstanding. That is until Arthur kept on talking. "I'm sorry that I said that Rachel. I didn't know the both of you had broken up". Rachel could hear her brain explode. What?! What on earth is he talking about? Huh? Does Rachel have a current boyfriend that she, herself isn't aware of? Does she have an invisible boyfriend that only Arthur could see? What is he talking about? Broken up? The only boyfriend she ever had and had broken up with was Arthur and only Arthur. And yet, he looks so oblivious here in front of Rachel.
