"So, what are we actually doing here?" I ask Freddie as we walk through the front door. He hadn't given any clues about what he wanted to do/say when we got home. I followed him as he walked up the stairs and into my room, launching himself at my bed. I watched, confused.
"Aren't you tired?" He asks, sitting up on the bed.
"It's ten in the morning, so no...Why are you asking?"
Shifting positions so he was lying on his side, he patted the space infront, directing me to sit there with him. I sat cautiously on the edge of the bed, questioning what he was doing. He grinned and pulled me down so I was the little spoon. "Freddie, seriously what are we doing here?"
"Shut up and sleep, Kimmy, just sleep. That's all I want."
It was dark and cold when I woke up. That subconsious feeling that something was missing, but I couldn't figure out what. I checked the time on my phone, squinting at the bright light. I'd slept until half seven, and I thought I wasn't tired.
Then I realised what was missing.
Where was Freddie?
"Where did you dissapear off to last night?" I ask as I find Freddie by his locker. He spun around, surprised by my appearance.
"Christ, Kimmy! Oh, yeah sorry about that; I just remembered that I had...coursework due in." His eyes flickered between me and the lockers behind me. I raised an eyebrow, implying that I didn't believe him, but I didn't ask any further. I'll get Emma to find out for me.
"Riiiiight.....Well, I'll see you later, I guess." I turned and walked away, but not before seeing Freddie's face grow the slightest tinge of red. Freddie? Blushing? I really need to find Emma.
I scoped out all the hallways, looking for any sign of Emma. I spun around, hearing her voice behind me, but ended up bashing into someone else. I felt their hands hold onto my upper arms as I regained composture.
"Wow, long time no see, Kimmy." I looked up to the familiar voice, finding Gio grinning at me.
"Oh, hey Gio, yeah sorry, I've been busy." Busy. I was almost as bad as Freddie. Well, I suppose I have been quite busy- but not enough to ignore my new step-brother and the guy I made out with in the sea. The thought made me cringe.
"KIMMY!!"
I wince and look at Emma next to me as she smirks at Gio. "Emma, what did I tell you about indoor voices?"
"Yeah, yeah, whatever, you seemed a little preoccupied and didn't hear me calling you." She said, winking. I roll my eyes, typical. "Hi, Gio." Grabbing her arm, I haul her flirty ass down the hall and into the girls bathroom; I'll apologies to Gio later.
"Emma I need you to do something for me," I started. "Find out why Freddie's being so weird with me." I explained about the night before and the lame excuse he used for leaving. Surprisingly, Emma didn't say anything, just stood there, grinning as I talked. "What?"
She rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I'll find out no problem."
"Cheers, Em, I owe you." She waved it off, smirking as she walked out of the bathroom.
Sorry it's short, but quick update. :)
