Brothers, I Think I Have A Crush (Kongkwan-Fon)

XX- Meet the Parents

The group arrived at the siblings' home where as soon as they opened the door, they were greeted by the siblings' parents surprising everyone.

Som: "Goodevening kids, you're home early."

Fon: "M-mom, w-what are you doing here? I thought you and dad will be out the whole day?"

Ran: "We were. But the meeting ended early so we figured we head on home to spend time with you guys and have dinner together. But it seems we have some guests as well." giving Tor and Kongkwan a friendly smile.

Som: "Tor! It's so nice for you to visit us again, how are you? How's the family?"

Tor: "All good Auntie, dad and mom are in Jakarta right now for a business meeting. They just texted me that they will be home after tomorrow."

Som: "Always the workaholics your parents are, that's why we are friends." she chuckled. "And who might this lovely lady might be?" staring at Kongkwan who suddenly became shy from the older woman's gaze.

Fon: "S-She's Kongkwan, mom. Our classmate and m-my laboratory partner this week." she stammered, feeling nervous all of the sudden for some reason as her mother has this tendency to look intimidating while her father has a habit to tease his children especially his only girl.

Som: "Hello, we are Neua, Sky and Fon's parents. I'm Som and this is Ran." holding her husbands shoulder before handing her hand out for Kongkwan to shake which Kongkwan did diligently to both grown ups.

Kongkwan: "Nice to meet you both." she smiled.

Ran: "Kongkwan right?" the student nodded her head. "Oh, you must be the one the kids have been talking about all week." 

It felt like all the blood have been drained from Fon's face. She remembered the teasing her brothers' did to  her about Kongkwan for the whole week and apparently her dad was there through some of those moments, overhearing her crush's name from time to time.

Fon was standing beside Kongkwan while the three boys were standing behind them with the twins signaling their dad to "be quiet" and placing a finger on their own lips and slashing their necks for him not to say anything else making their father cough awkwardly while their mother looked confused just like Kongkwan was.

Ran: "I-I meant, they DID mention you as Fon's partner, in class." he tried saving the situation as best as he can but his youngest daughter can't stop blushing anymore raising more suspicion from his wife as she can read them like a book.

Kongkwan: "Ahhh.. Yes. I was assigned to be partners with Fon for an activity in Chemistry for this week." she nodded her head.

Ran: "Oh that's good. How is my daughter as a partner.. in the lab ofcourse!" trying to be subtle as possible making Fon wanting to to be sucked in by the floor.

Kongkwan: "Uhmmm.. She's been a good lab partner, Sir. She helped me a lot during the whole activity and is very smart and nice." she smiled at Fon who couldn't look at her in the eyes because of her flushed cheeks.

Ran: "Well, that's my Fon. Always kind and hardworking just like his dad."

Som: "What about me?" raising an eyebrow.

Ran: "... and her mother.. Especially her mother." he chuckled nervously.

Som: "Nice save.." punching him playfully, making the teenagers laugh at their playful banter. "Well, let's have dinner. It's a good thing I cooked a little extra tonight." she gave a warm smile.

Kongkwan: "Oh Ma'am, it's ok. I ate a little something at home, I don't want to be a bother."

Som: "Nonsense! We have more than enough." pulling Kongkwan's hand towards the dinning area and gestured towards Tor to follow them. "Besides, the twins needed to lose a few pounds." she chuckled while hearing whines behind them from both boys denying that they were gaining weight. "But you Tor, you're all skin and bones. Have you been eating since your parents left?"

Som left the rest of her family in the living room feeling slightly neglected from the older woman as she tended to their guests.

Ran: "Soooo.. She's the girl you boys have been teasing your sister with the whole week, am I right?" smirking at his daughter who is covering her face due to embarrassment.

Sky: "Yes dad. She's the one." hugging his dad's shoulder while chuckling.

Ran: "She looks nice and very pretty."

Neua: "And is the smartest student in our class.." he added.

Ran: "Even better! Nice job, princess." he pat his daughter's head who is internally screaming at her dad and siblings still hiding her face.

Fon: "Please try to minimize the teasing tonight dad? Please?!" using her puppy dog eyes hoping her father will have mercy on her.

Ran: "Oh alright. I'll continue it once she leaves." he chuckled before giving his youngest child a hug before walking to the dinning area. "By the way, did you guys go on a date and brought your two brothers and Tor with you?" he asked while laughing.

Fon: "Daaaaaad..!" she whined causing the 3 guys to chuckle knowing Fon wasn't enjoying the teasing she is getting.

Ran: "What?! I'm just asking. If you were looking for help or a wingman; you could've found someone better than these two numbskulls here." he smirked at his 2 sons who looked offended by their dad's words.

Neua: "What?! We are EXCELLENT wingmen! Right, Fon?" he pat his brother's shoulder in support gaining a raised eyebrow from their father before looking at Fon for an answer.

Fon: "Well.. Uhmmm.. Huh?! What did you say, mom? We're coming!" acting like she heard her mom calling out for them just to get out in answering the question and sprinted to the dinning area.

Sky: "What? I don't hear anything, did you?" he looked at his brother confused, with Neua rolling his eyeballs at him and his dad shaking his head before rubbing his younger son's head.

Ran: "I sometimes think I should've let you pursue badminton rather than soccer. It sometimes  feels like you have been hit in the head far too many times, my son." he looked at Sky with concern and love but Neua just laughed at his face before they entered the dinning area and saw Tor and Kongkwan already seated with no signs of Fon around until they saw her reenter the dinning area holding a bowl of Pad Thai and placed it on the table along with the other dishes Som prepared for them. With just a look, the 3 men had a silent conversation and rushed to take a seat, leaving just one chair free for Fon to sit at and that was beside Kongkwan making everyone except the two girls to subtly smile triumphantly at their "plan" including Tor, making Fon have no chance but to take a seat beside her crush as Som came in, holding a large bowl of rice, since it was the last food item not yet placed on the table.

Som: "So, let's eat?" she sat at the edge of the table opposite from her husband before slapping Neua's hand away and handing out food towards the Kongkwan and Tor's direction first.
