Brothers, I Think I Have A Crush (Kongkwan-Fon)

XXV - Purposely Ignored

It has been days and Fon feels like Kongkwan has been ignoring her and her brothers.

Everytime she asked the girl to have lunch with them, Kongkwan will make an excuse that she needs to be somewhere or that she is having lunch with a classmate outside the canteen because for a project or someone needs a tutor for a subject or would say that she's going to the library to study.

Yesterday Fon tried to talk to her crush after school and try to walk her home because the twins both have practices, Kongkwan was suppose to agree but something was off all of the sudden and Kongkwan rushed away from Fon causing the smaller girl to feel confused and dejected before losing Kongkwan in a matter of seconds not knowing where she ran off to and deciding to just wait for her father to pick her up instead.

It's Friday and weekend's almost here making every student excited after a week long set of classes but Fon was not enjoying it as much as she should be.

Sky: "What's with the long face?" poking Fon's cheek with his finger while they were eating in the cafeteria for lunch again.

Fon: "Imma break your finger if you don't put that away from my face."

Sky: "Ayo chill!!" he chuckled but pulled his finger away seeing the seriousness of his sister.

Nuea: "Kongkwan still rejecting your invites?" he asked while biting on his half eaten apple and drinking his Gatorade since he is on a diet as they have a weigh-in by their coach by tomorrow's practice.

Fon just scoffed before taking a bite off her carbonara and drinking her water before Tor sat across from them holding a granola bar and a bottle of water.

Tor: "What's wrong?" seeing his friends' concerned faces.

Sky: "Fon's sad because her crush keeps denying her invites to lunches and even didn't let her walk her home yesterday during our practice." making Fon frown even more.

Tor: "Uhhhh.. M-maybe she got shy again because you aren't lab partners anymore." trying to find an excuse as to why Kongkwan's been avoiding the siblings especially Fon.

Fon: "But WHY?! I told her we are her friends already." she sighed and pushed her half eaten plate towards Sky who happily devoured the pasta since her was hungry totally forgetting he too was on a diet making Nuea smack his hand away from the fork.

Tor: "M-maybe she's not used to having friends. She is kind of a loner."

Nuea: "Tor's right. Maybe she isn't used to having friends around. Let's not force ourselves towards her, we might spook her."

Fon: "I guess. Maybe I am pushing our friendship too much." feeling guilty.

Tor: "T-try reassuring her that you're there for her as a friend. M-maybe she'll feel more comfortable and open up to you more eventually."

Fon: "I-i can do that. Yeah. Just reassure her that I am a friend. That we are her friends. Thanks Tor." she smiled at the boy who just nodded his head and started eating his snack with guilt in his eyes but just hid it since he still needs to keep Kongkwan's secret.

After class:

Kongkwan was walking to her locker in a now almost empty hallways because she forgot her Calculus book and only remembered it when she was halfway through the gate going to the bustop when she remembered that she has a test on Monday and needs it to study.

She is normally not this forgetful but she had been preoccupied for the whole week trying to avoid Fon and the twins as much as possible; coming up with excuses why she couldn't sit with them at lunch where she just ends up eating in deserted classrooms as to avoid the bully jocks and cheerleaders always picking on her any chance they get and lunch is always a favorite time for them. She felt guilty seeing Fon's face everytime she rejects her and almost agreed for Fon to walk with her home the day before until she saw the head cheerleader and 2 of her minions walking towards her with a predatory look on their faces sensing that they were going to embarrass her infront of Fon by the gate so she came up with another lie to escape Fon and run towards the bus stand where a bus was ready to leave making her sigh in relief and disappointment at the same time.
