The night air was cool and refreshing on my exposed skin as it blew past me in a rush. My eyes were trained on the figures below me as Shaw spoke to Erik like he wasn't threatened by the knife the brunette held in his hand.
A gun was strapped to my leg in case the worst scenario happened, which would most likely happen. Four men and a woman stood underneath me as I crouched on the upper deck of the yacht seeing who would move first.
"Little Erik Lensherr." Shaw said giving him a cocky smile.
"He's here to kill you." The blonde woman said stepping closer to Shaw.
I leaned over the railing more to get a better view of what was happening beneath me. One of the men spotted me and I moved backwards out of the moonlight and into the shadows.
"What kind of greeting is that," Shaw stated. "After all these years."
Erik lunged forward with the knife, but the girl had crystallized her body and blocked his path towards Shaw, knocking the weapons out of his hand. When Erik was unable to attack, the woman threw him overboard and into the water.
"Emma," Shaw said shaking his head at her in disappointment. "We don't harm our own kind."
"What do you mean by that?" I questioned standing up and moving back to the railing. The gun was out of its holster and in my hand at my side.
Shaw was a little surprised to see me, but he still kept a smile on his face. He spread his arms out like he wanted to hug me.
"Cassandra, dear," He exclaimed. "Come down here so we can talk properly."
I placed my hand on the railing and swung my legs over to land a couple of feet below on the lower deck. Now the gun was pointed at Shaw with both my hands clasped around it.
"Can't we just talk?" Sebastian asked stepping closer. I moved the gun to point it at his chest and positioned my hands around the weapon tighter.
"Talking as never solved anything, but actions have." I said pulling the trigger and resting the gun at my side. 'Emma' moved closer to Shaw, trying to stop the bullet, but he had already taken it.
I stood there in awe as the bullet was mere inches from his chest, suspended in midair. He came closer to me, but I couldn't move. I could only watch what was happening around me.
"Cassandra, I'm disappointed. We could have done something more together. We could have fixed the world." Shaw stated.
"You would have destroyed it." I said as he absorbed the energy from the bullet and pushed it out towards me, making me fly into the water, feet away from the boat.
The moon and lights from another boat disappeared from sight as water filled my lungs and my eyes slowly closed from the impact of hitting the water. Arms wrapped around my torso and pulled me up to the surface as I heard Erik and some other man talking.
I was placed in a raft with a towel thrown over my body. Hands collided with my chest and I sprung up into a sitting position, coughing up water from my lungs.
"Cass, are you okay?" Erik asked to the right of me. I looked over at him and continued coughing as he placed a hand on my hunched back.
"I'm good," I said wiping my face with the towel. Looking over the people in the boat I noticed a man sitting rather close to me, just to the left of Erik and me. "Who are you?"
"I'm Charles Xavier." The man said holding out his hand. He had stunning green eyes that looked like it they were reading my mind through my own eyes.
"Cassandra Avok," I responded by shaking his hand. "How did you know we were here?"
"We were looking for Sebastian Shaw and we came across Erik and you." Charles said looking up at the brunette.
"Whose 'we'?" I asked, coughing again.
"The CIA." Charles replied.
"They want to take out Shaw." Erik said trying to calm me down. Organizations like the CIA or the FBI are never my favorite to deal with.
"How do you know that they aren't trying to get us too? Maybe they want all mutants dead." I said as my fingers trembled and the raft started rocking profusely.
"Then they wouldn't have sent me." Charles said.
"And you're like us?" I asked as Erik brought me closer to him, trying to comfort me.
"Yes, I am." A voice rang out in my head. "Don't be alarmed, Cassandra. You have your abilities and I have mine, and this is it."
"I thought we were alone." I said softly.
"You're not alone," Charles said reaching out to touch my shoulder. "You'll never be alone."
I looked up at Erik from were I sat between his legs and he smiled down at me, reassuring me that we could trust Charles.
"I'm here for you, Cass."

Sorry for the late updates. I cannot seem to find a suitable script online to use instead of just looking over the movie itself.
