The car pulled up quickly as I exited the backseat frantically with Charles and Erik right behind. Charles rushed over to Raven's side as I stood next to Erik as we took in our destroyed surroundings. The whole building was ruined and flames were still leaping from the rubble.

"Alex," I started as I looked him over. "What the hell happened here?" He looked down sadly at his hands and back up at me as I glared at him for an answer. "Where's Darwin?"

"He's dead." Raven stated after hugging Charles tightly. I looked at her and saw that she's been struck by terror and has seen horror beyond anything a human has seen.

"We've made arrangements to take you all back home." Charles said as Alex and Sean started to protest. "With Darwin dead, there is more of a reason for you to be sent back."

"Darwin, a kid, is dead," I said helping their cause. "And you want to send them back home to where there is a greater chance of never seeing them again." Crossing my arms, I stood my ground and waited for a response from Charles.

Everyone looked to the ground, away from everyone else's eyes, solemnly as they grieved for their friend. I looked back at Erik, hoping he would help me and he nodded his head in a silent agreement.

"We will avenge him." Erik said with confidence in his voice. Charles looked over his shoulder at the brunette standing behind with a glare in his eyes like he was ready to fight with Erik.

Charles walked past me and over to Erik as them stepped off to the side and talked. Moria glanced at the two as I stood in front of Alex who was sitting on the bench next to Sean. I tapped my temple and gave a slight smile to him.

"You've seen what will happen," I whispered as I leaned in so only Alex could hear me. "And I promise you, you will make it out alive." He looked up at me and I saw a look in his that told me he wasn't so sure.

"We'll have to train," I heard Charles say as I stood back up straight and put my hands in my pockets. "All of us. Yes?" Alex pipped up and chimed in with a response.

"We can't stay here'" Hank said as I noticed him sitting off to the side. "Even if they open the department back up again, it won't be safe. We've got nowhere to go." Alex slumped back down and looked at my glumly.

"Yes we do."
