"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?" Caroline screeched, wondering where Rosie had been. The blonde had messaged Rosie an hour ago and had gotten no reply.

Rosie looked around the cellar and noticed Tyler was writhing in pain in the corner, trying to remove his chains. "Sorry, I was watching Damon and Ric piss off a werewolf."

"What?" Caroline furrowed her eyebrows but shook her head, indicating she didn't want an explanation. The blonde began to walk over to Tyler. "Hey. Tyler. Tyler."

Tyler yelled in pain, "I'm burning up. It burns!"

Rosie copied her sister's movements and walked forward. The were-witch bent down and looked the werewolf in the eye. "I know it hurts, Tyler, but you need to breathe."

"I'll try." He replied, crying from the pain. Tyler then turned to Caroline and said, "You should go." As the pain worsened he repeated, "You should go."

Rosie nodded her head, agreeing with Tyler. "Caroline, you need to go. As soon as a werewolf turns, they will attack anyone nearby and a werewolf bite is fatal to a vampire."

Caroline shook her head. "Not yet."

Tyler began screaming as his bones broke. The blonde vampire screamed as well as she saw his arm break. Shakily taking a breath, Rosie sat down on the floor beside Tyler and rubbed his back. Rosie began muttering a spell, trying to ease his pain a little.

TYLER LAY ON THE FLOOR, REFUSING TO FACE THE SISTERS. Caroline crouched down beside Rosie and said to her, "I want to help but I don't know what to do."

"You can't help him, Care." Rosie replied softly, grabbing her sister's hand. "We just have to wait it out."

Tyler tried to sit up but his spine began to break. He screamed in agony again, causing Caroline to cry as she couldn't bear seeing him in pain.

"Get out!" He yelled at Caroline, not wanting to cause her any harm.

"No!" Caroline objected, unwilling to leave his side. Rosie didn't understand why Caroline was risking the chance to potentially die just for Tyler. Tyler and Caroline had never been close nor had they ever been friends but now they seemed as close as ever.

"Get out! I don't want to hurt you."

"No! No." Before Rosie could stop her, Caroline rushed towards Tyler and embraced him.

ROSIE SAT WATCHING THE TWO. Caroline had Tyler's head on her lap as she gently stroked his head to try to comfort him.

"It's okay. You'll fight through it, okay?" Caroline whispered to Tyler as he lay quietly.

Tyler's bones began to break again and he screamed. Caroline attempted to soothe him but he was in too much pain to calm down.

"Leave!" The transforming werewolf called out.

  "No!"

"You need to go, Care, now!" Rosie demanded as she tried to grab Caroline but the blonde vampire pushed her away.

  "No, not yet!"

"Just go!" Tyler yelled at Caroline.

"I'm right here, and I'm not going anywhere." But as soon as Caroline spoke, Tyler's fangs grew and his eyes glowed yellow. The werewolf attempted to bite Caroline but Rosie gripped onto Caroline's shoulders and pulled her away. They ran to the metal gate and slammed it shut then Caroline immediately began to chain the gate shut so Tyler couldn't get at them.

Tyler tried to make his way to them but was stopped by his chains. Suddenly, he turned around and ripped his chains out of the ground before racing towards them again. Caroline grabbed Rosie's arm and dragged her outside with her. They closed the wooden door rapidly and listened to Tyler's screams intensify.

Rosie held onto her sister as Caroline cried. She knew her sister had a big heart and hated anyone being in pain. The were-witch rocked her sister back and forth and softly shushed her, attempting to calm her sister down.

Tyler's screaming began to mix with growls. Rosie knew that he was finishing his transformation as he grew quieter. Abruptly, silence filled the air, confusing the two girls. Rosie quickly realised that they needed to get out of there so she tried to pull Caroline away but the blonde resisted and moved towards the door. Suddenly, Tyler began to break the door down so the girls pushed against it, preventing him from getting out.

"Caroline! Get that piece of wood!" Rosie yelled at her sister, nodding her head in the direction of it.

The blonde swiftly picked up the wood and placed it against the door. Both the girls knew that the door wouldn't last long so Caroline grabbed ahold of Rosie and vamp-sped them away while crying.

AFTER A FEW HOURS, Caroline sat beside Rosie on the ground. They waited for any sign of Tyler but there was none.

"Should we go check?" Caroline whispered to Rosie, unsure of what to do.

The were-witch shrugged her shoulders but stood up and offered a hand to Caroline, which she accepted. The two sisters began to walk back to the Lockwood cellar but they both jumped at every single noise in the woods- they were paranoid that Tyler might pop out of nowhere and attack them.

They finally approached the Lockwood cellar and stopped at the door, listening in for any noise.

"Tyler?" Caroline called out, hoping to hear the boy's human voice and not a growl.

  Luckily, Tyler replied normally, "Caroline."

Caroline ripped the wood off the door and ran inside. Rosie followed after her and watched as her sister picked up a lantern and searched for the werewolf boy. "Tyler?"

As soon as Caroline spotted Tyler, she dashed towards him and placed a jacket over his naked body.

Rosie watched Caroline embrace Tyler again and whisper to him, "You're okay. You made it. You didn't get out. You're okay."

The werewolf began to sob, his body shaking with his cries. "No, I'm not."

The brunette awkwardly watched from behind them as the two hugged while Caroline tried to soothe Tyler's worries. Rosie smiled at the bittersweet interaction she saw in front of her before she walked out of the cellar and into the woods, giving the two privacy.

As she trekked through the woods, she found a place she hadn't visited in years. Her and Nathan's spot. Smiling softly, the were-witch sat down on her tree stump and looked over to Nathan's. "Why couldn't I help you like you helped me?" Rosie muttered as the guilt she ignored for many years came rushing back to her.

She felt tears prick her eyes as she turned her focus to the sky, admiring the stars above her.
