The impact of my keys hitting the wooden table by the entrance of my apartment echoed around the room while I simultaneously closed the front door.
"Do you want something to drink?" I inquired while signalling for her to turn her back to me.
"What do you have?" She asked, doing as I had previously instructed and I lifted my hands to remove my jacket from her perfectly sculpted vessel.
"Hard liquor and, Uhm, wine,"
"Red?"
"Yeah, do you want a glass?" I asked curiously, holding the jacket in my grasp as she turned to face me once more.
"Okay,"
"Okay" I repeated in a teasing tone while motioning for her to lead the way toward my kitchen. "Are you hungry?"
My question was released the second we arrived at our intended destination.
"I'm fine,"
"You sure?" I asked, meeting her eyes as I placed the jacket on the kitchen island.
"Yes, I'm sure," She reassured me and I stood there watching as her orbs ran over me in an appreciative sequence.
"So just the glass of wine?" I asked while awaiting the moment her eyes would return to mine, and the instant they did I was greeted by a swarm of passion and need which was displayed at the surface of her orbs.
"Yeah," She uttered and I smiled, releasing a small nod since her exterior was busy unknowingly revealing everything she was desperately trying to hide.
"Do you want it chilled? Because I have an already opened bottle in the fridge,"
"Yeah, I'm fine with that," She confirmed and I pulled away from our current exchange walking to the fridge.
"If you wanna wait in the living room you can," I announced, opening the refrigerator door.
"I'm okay," She promised and I hummed, grabbing the bottle I had poured a glass from earlier today.
Tension filled silence swarmed the space around our vessels as I closed the fridge, and with each movement I made, her eyes followed.
"What's on your mind, Britt?"
"Nothing," She voiced as I grabbed a glass from the cupboard above my head, and I smiled at her words since her body language contradicted each syllable in her response.
Silence carried on between us as I filled the glass with the liquid that was deep red wine.
Tick Tock
"You know you can ask right?" I inquired as I closed the bottle once more before lifting the glass of wine into my hand.
"Ask what?" She questioned as if her very gaze on me hadn't shouted out what her lips dared not to.
"What you're thinking about," I clarified as I began walking toward her.
"What am I thinking about?"
"Here," I announced, placing the glass on the island as I settled before her.
"What am I thinking about?" She asked once again since I made no move to reply to her question, and with her repeated words came the realisation that she was not about to initiate the act that drowned her mind.
"Come here," I ordered softly and she immediately moved to me, permitting the connection of our lips as her body melted against mine.
Passion drifted between us as her arms travelled around my neck in an attempt to keep me close, and I stood there mirroring the movements of her soft lips.
