I moved my hand to the right slightly to water the neighbouring plants as the smell of the food Britt was preparing made its way outside to seduce my sleeping hunger.

She didn't have to be at work until eight tonight and with Aria at school, we practically had the entire day to ourselves which I was extremely grateful for since alone time between us was very rare these days.

A small part of me was also left frustrated since I didn't get much sleep last night with the newly found knowledge of Devin being responsible for the cause of missing children in the neighbourhood staying present on my mind the entire time.

A small yawn left me as the sun continued to sit on my skin gently pulling sweat from my pores and I briefly thought about turning the mouth of the hose to face me in hopes of cooling my heated body.

"Babe," I heard Britt call out and I followed the sound to see her walking over to me with her attire being one of my black tracksuits that left the sight of her to mirror complete perfection.

"I'm going to the store, can you watch the food on the stove for me until I get back?" She asked softly, earning a small chuckle from me as I moved over to the bucket to place the hose inside since I knew that I had to wash her car, which she was finally driving on an everyday basis.

"You're trusting me with cooking duties?" I questioned while walking to her.

"It's on low, just check on it in the next 20 minutes," She informed me smiling.

"Okay," I replied laughing slightly and her smile grew as I handed her the keys to my car since hers had to be cleaned.

"Do you want anything from the store?" She asked as she began moving to the car.

"Where's my kiss?" I asked and she smiled, making her back over to me.

"You slacking off," I pointed out amused and she laughed pecking my lips.

"Do you want anything from the store?" She questioned once more before moving out of hold to go to the car.

"No, just hurry up and come back before I burn the food," I voiced, earning a laugh from her as she got in the car.

"Just leave the gate open," I told her since I knew she would be back in a few minutes and she replied with a small okay before driving off.

Footsteps sounded and I frowned while stepping away from the car to look down the driveway where I saw Andre walking towards the house. His presence left me surprised as confusion stood in my body planting its ground.

"Are you here to see Britt?" I asked the moment he got closer while not being able to remember her mentioning him stopping by today.

"Yeah, where is she?"

"At the store, she should be back soon," I told him before bending down to dry the rim on the car, while my spirit tried to erase the small amount of rage I felt whenever he was in my presence.

"Where is Aria?"

"Today is Thursday she's at school," I informed him even though our exchanges were always awkward since everything he said held hidden venom.

"Okay," He mumbled as I stood up wringing the cloth of excess water before moving to the neighbouring rim. "I got somewhere to be, tell her I wanna see my daughter this weekend,"

"I think you should wait until she returns because this sounds like something you guys need to discuss," I explained as I stood up once more to look at him and he frowned.
