I continued going down the aisle with Aria and my assistant Dean on either side of me. Britt had left for work this morning giving Aria and I the chance to slip out and prepare for tonight with no worries of her finding out.

I had been planning ever since my third day in the hospital. The bed rest period of my recovery really gave me a lot of time to reflect and during my reflection, I had realised just how much Britt had done for me without me noticing or even appreciating.

And everything she did for me was completely selfless, she did it without expecting something in return, which was rare since people usually shook my hand with one of their hands while their other was stuffed in my pocket.

"Jazzy can I get a toy?" Aria asked, pulling me from my thoughts and I paused my movements not really knowing how to tell her no.

"You can continue getting the things," I told Dean, knowing he could get the few things we needed from the neighbouring isle in the little time we would spend getting the toy.

"Where are we meeting?" He asked.

"I'll call you when we're done," I replied and he looked at me conflicted.

"I can wait if—"

"I'm fine Dean," I assured and he nodded, walking off hesitantly leaving Aria and I alone. "What toy do you want?"

She smiled brightly pointing to the small doctor set.

"Take the bigger one," I ordered and she moved to the side to grab it.

"I'm going to be a doctor like mommy," She confessed, making me smile.

"Now you have to pick a second one," I told her as I leaned forward on my crutches slightly.

"Why?"

"So you can have a second source of income?" I replied.

"Income?"

"Money that you get from work," I simplified.

"Okay," She replied gleefully, probably just happy to get two toys as she rested the doctor set against the shelf filled with toys gently before moving down the aisle. The sight of her happiness never failed to bring about happiness in me as well, it was something I started to look forward to.

It was as if she and her mother's emotions had somehow become linked to mine, their expressions and feelings had the power to make or break my day.

"What would be another income?" She asked, pronouncing the word slowly.

"You're saying it right baby, maybe a salon, restaurant or—"

"Restaurant," She interjected happily.

"Okay grab that one," I ordered pointing to the Cutlery/tableware set and she grabbed it quickly placing it next to the doctor's set.

"Now you're a doctor who owns a restaurant," I added softly, loving the look of happiness on her face.

"Thank you Jazzy," She replied as I removed my phone, planning to call Dean.

"You're welcome baby, get three dolls too so they can work in your restaurant," I told her, watching as she ran off happily.

I walked through the front door of the hospital with Renae next to me, and I accepted the relief that washed over me the moment I had stepped outside with glee as I sighed feeling completely tired, while my feet continued to hurt from me being on them all day.

"What did you say happened to your car?" I asked her as I removed the car keys from my pocket.

"I'm not even fucking sure," She mumbled making me laugh.

"Why don't you give that mechanic guy you're dating the car so he can fix it?" I asked, wishing I hadn't parked this far away from the entrance since my body felt as if it was about to fail me.

"First of all we not dating and secondly I don't want to ask him for anything,"

"Why?"

"I don't want to owe him nothing," She announced and I nodded in understanding.

"You bought a new car?" She asked as I tapped the button on the keys unlocking the doors.

"No it's Jazmine's,"

"Isn't Jazmine's the black one?"

"Yeah this is hers too," I responded.

"I be forgetting she got money money," She pointed out, earning a tired laugh from me.

"You're driving," I told her as I opened the back seat to put down my duffle bag before waiting for her to do the same.

"You know I'm left-handed,"

"This is left-handed," I informed her while closing the door before handing her the keys.

"I didn't know Jazmine was left-handed," She confessed as we got into the car.

"She isn't, her first car was just left-handed, so she can't drive right," I explained, turning on the air as I sent back the seat ready to be at home and in bed. "You want to take the car and pick me up tomorrow?"

"You on the evening too?"

"Yeah," I told her as a yawn left me.

"Is Jazmine going to be okay with me taking a whole vehicle?" She asked, earning a small laugh from me while I enjoyed the calmness of the night.

"Yes,"
