Inhale.
Exhale.
The slight pain and numbness in my leg called upon the name of memories that were centred around what happened to return as I continued to lay there, while trying my best to gather myself since my emotions were at an all-time high.
Inhale.
Exhale.
The sound of a door being opened had my eyes redirecting themselves towards the entrance of the room to land on my brother, which immediately turned into a small crowd of people.
Looks of sympathy, relief and worry drowned every vessel present as the door closed and my grandmother immediately moved to pull me into a hug that I quickly returned.
"I'm fine," I assured, being able to sense her high level of distraught.
"The bullet didn't cause a lot of damage," Spain told her while also killing my anxious thoughts, and I silently thanked everything that protected me in the universe as my grandmother pulled away.
Minutes passed as I laid there answering their worried questions, a piece of my mind drifting away from the conversation every now and then as I wondered where Britt was.
"You need to get some rest," My brother Jeremiah vocalised, holding my hand as he leaned forward to place a kiss against my forehead.
I watched as they began walking out, and the sight prompted the question that had been lingering at the back of my mind to quickly walk to the front to create words.
"Where is Britt?" I asked Spain, stopping him in his tracks as my grandmother and Jeremiah left.
"She left to get Aria, I'm not sure if she's back yet," He answered confusing me since Aria wasn't supposed to be picked up until Sunday unless-
"What day is today?" I asked, cutting my own thoughts short.
"Saturday, why?" He inquired while frowning.
"Nothing just wanted to know,"
"She loves you," He announced and I chuckled slightly confused by the randomness of his statement.
"I know that,"
"No, I mean like she really fucking loves you," He repeated and I smiled. "I'll let her know you're awake when she gets back,"
I watched as he walked out while also leaving me alone with thoughts.

Her eyes travelled over to me leaving a weight to fall from my shoulders as I closed the door behind my emotion-filled body.
My feet pulled closer to her while my mind continued to stand still in a sea of worry as my gaze drifted to her leg.
"I'm fine," She voiced, pulling my attention back to her but her words of assurance did nothing to ease my mind or emotional state.
"I thought I was going to lose you," I confessed and she reached for my hand leading me closer to her.
"I'm fine," She reassured pulling me into her and I went willingly, drowning myself in her hold as her hand began moving up and down my back slowly in an attempt to delete the lingering agony I felt. "Spain told me you went to get Aria,"
I smiled knowing she wanted to redirect my mind to something else rather than her current predicament.
"The same thing with Andre," I confessed, leaving my few words to explain everything and she hummed.
"Where is she?"
"With Renae," I replied as my tears threatened to return to my cheeks. "Are you sure you're okay?"
I knew that she had a tendency to put everything and everyone before herself.
I think she sometimes forgets it's okay to be taken care of.
The rise and fall of her chest against mine as well as her heartbeat had all my negative thoughts slowly stepping out of mind, leaving nothing but our shared love to surround us.
"I'm fine baby, it's just my leg," She responded and I pulled away to meet her gaze. "I'm fine,"
She took my hand into hers and I nodded replaying the statement in my head in hopes my sense of worry would hear.
"You know I'm moving back in right?" I asked and her face split into a grin.
"You are?" She asked cutely, making me smile.
"I love you,"
"I love you too,"
