Chapter 13

This time at the Wanmin Restaurant Jingyi trusted Paimon to do all the ordering.

"Oh! It's Xiangling!" Paimon exclaimed.

"Hi guys! So glad that you guys are patrons today! We'll whip up your food in no time!"

"Nice to meet you, I'm Jingyi."
"Oh! Did you come yesterday?"

"Hm? Yeah I did!"

"No wonder you look familiar! I overheard that it was your first time eating at our restaurant and just had to see how you reacted to our food!"

Jingyi got shy and fixed her glasses, "I see, the food was delicious!"

"And we're getting more today!" Paimon added.

Xiangling nodded, "We'll whip up your food in no time!"

The group got their number and went to find a place to sit. After they did, Paimon went on to tell Jingyi about whatever memories of the past adventures she and Lumine had. Jingyi thought that the land of Inazuma sounded beautiful and thought that someday she could set foot on that land for a visit too.

"Oh my, the land of Inazuma sounds like something I can't even begin to imagine. I hope I can visit someday," Jingyi says dreamily.

"Well the borders opened not too long ago, maybe they'll have a better way of dealing with tourists in the future!"

They were cut off when their number was called, Jingyi stood.

"I'll be back."
Childe got up as well, "I'll help."

The two went to get the food but it made Jingyi a bit nervous being next to Childe even for a short amount of time. Childe smirked at her, he wasn't going to eat her alive but seeing her nervous around him was causing emotions he didn't know he had to stir. The pair got the food and headed back to the table.

"Oof! That was delicious!" Jingyi said with a satisfied sigh as she leaned back on your chair.

"You can say that again!" Paimon agreed.

"Glad that you guys enjoyed yourselves! That's my favorite part of making food, I mean, aside from eating it. But also to have other people enjoy the dishes too!" Xiangling gushed.

"Thank you for the great meal again," Jingyi added.

Xiangling smiled and couldn't contain her excitement, "I'm glad you loved it Jingyi!"

It caused some people to turn their way and Jingyi got self conscious, but it was short lived.

"Jingyi...?" An unfamiliar voice called out.

Jingyi turned to see a young man with dark brown Liyue attire with short dark brown hair in a small ponytail and kind brown eyes. Jingyi froze.

"Do I know you?"

"It's me, your cousin. Donghai," the male says.

Jingyi scowls, which surprises Lumine, Paimon and Childe.

Jingyi looks at the group, "I'm sorry, something came up. I have to go," she says in a curt tone before leaving the group behind. A characteristic that she doesn't normally exhibit.

The only person who quickly reacted was Donghai.

"H-hey! Wait up Jingyi!"

Jingyi didn't want to listen, she kept walking. Or more accurately speed walking away. She headed towards the bridge that was next to Second Life and kept walking. It wasn't until they walked out of the city for a little bit did Donghai catch up with her.
