Lilyana
"Hey baby, it's time to take your vitamins." My mom whispered as she sat on the edge of my bed. "Up. Up. Up." She said as she lightly patted my butt, my only reaction was to shove my head under my pillow.
"Maybe if I don't move she'll go away." I muttered.
"Hey! I heard that." I could hear the pout she wore on her face in her voice.
"That was intended, ma." I sighed. I pulled my head from under the pillow, taking a glance at my phone, checking for any new messages, when something caught my eye. "It's 5:43???" Her cheeks flushed. "School doesn't start until 9:15 why are you waking me up?" I asked from utter confusion.
"Because I miss you okay?" I squinted my eyes at her. "You spend all your time with your eyes focused on that damn phone screen. I miss my baby girl, can't we just talk sometime?" She sighed. There was more to what she told me, I could just feel it.
"I'm sorry, I might get a little carried away with my texting. I'll tell Chels, Ax, Ev, and Ash, that we're having a mommy daughter day today. No interruptions." I broke out into a cheesy grin.
"You think you're so slick, huh baby girl?" I giggled at the smirk that currently occupied her face. "You're going to school today but however we can totally have that day, tomorrow." She stood up from my bed.
"Does that mean I can at least go back to bed?" She chuckled.
"Nope. That means you can help me make breakfast." I jokingly groaned while rolling out of bed.
"You're so lucky I love you mom, anyone else tried this, I'd be ripping their head off." Only causing her to break out in a fit of giggles.
"Oh, how I treasure those words every time I hear 'em." She planted a kiss on my forehead. I couldn't even fight the smile on my face. I love my mom, so much. She makes me put my life in perspective, like if my dad never died or if my mom never went bonkers, I'd be admiring Demi from a computer screen. I know you're thinking: really? Having your father lose his battle to cancer, being bullied, molested, nearly burned alive were worth it? But yeah. You don't know what it's like to feel Demi's love. I'd live my entire childhood three times more as long as it meant I get to come back here, to my home, where my family is, where my heart remains. "Why are you starting at me like that babes?" I threw my arms around her torso, pressing my head deeply in her chest.
"I love you so much mom." I spoke into her chest. "I'm so grateful to have you in my life, thank you for taking me out of that environment. You will always be my mom, Nick will always be my dad, and I will always love you, the both of you." She hugged me back, I felt her hot tears hit the top of my head. "Don't think this is some type of decoy for you to let me stay home from school. I just really love it here and I really really love you."
"Lilyana," she whispered. "I love you so much baby, don't ever think otherwise." I clung onto her tighter, I didn't want to let her go, but I knew I had to eventually.
"How about we cut out the tears and make these fellas some breakfast?" She kissed my forehead.
We made our way to the kitchen mom got out her cooking utensils and pans, while I fetched the ingredients. While making pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage, and toast, mom told stories of her past cooking experiences which basically ended up in fire or blackened everything, up until Aunt Chelsea taught her the ways of the kitchen about a year ago. We laughed and joked around, that's really something I loved about my mom, she was my best friend but also my mom she knew how to merge both roles perfectly.
"Lils? Baby girl, can you set the table, the boys should be getting up any moment now." I nodded grabbing the plates, glasses, and the silverware. After I set them down on the table and went back to the fridge for the juice.
"Apple, grape, or orange?" I asked my mom, she scrunched up her face as if I just asked her to solve the equation of world peace.
"Apple and grape, orange is basic. You know what if someone wants it they can get it themselves." I shrugged my shoulders pushing the drinks back in the fridge. "Morning baby!" Mom greeted dad.
As we all took our usual seats, I watched my family devour the meal in front of us, the meal I've I barely touched.
"Uhh, do you guys think I could take some for Axel?" I tried to speak louder than the clanking of the silverware against the plates.
"Of course baby, how about you guys go get ready for school and I'll pack him up some food." I nodded getting up to get ready for school.
After reaching upstairs to my room, I threw on my asymmetric powder blue jumper, my ripped black jeans, and my tan boat Sperrys. I picked up my bag, my phone, and the food mom packed away for Axel and headed out the door to the car, would today be a good day?

Short but its just meant to be a fluffy chapter. The next chapter starts the drama and intensity of the story. And I promise, promise, promise, there will be more Logan involved in this story, especially when Demi's career begins to take off again and Nick becomes the stay at home parent for the time being (:
Please, like pretty please comment and tell me what you think, some suggestions, what you want to happen, what you think will happen, even some questions for me to answer. (Please?)
