Demi

Everything was moving around me in slow motion. My daughter is gone. The doctor's lost my little angel. I'm trapped in a world where nothing exists; this was so surreal, I didn't want to believe in any of it. But what choice did I have?

"Demi-" Nick placed his hand on mine, trying to comfort me

"Don't." I snatched my hand back. Comfort doesn't exist to me, my babygirl was no where to be found. His sigh didn't make me feel any better, I still feel empty, lost, and numb.

The waiting room felt so heavy, every exhale felt like 100 pounds added to the preexisting tension. I didn't want to be sitting here doing nothing, I wanted to be out there looking for my baby. I didn't trust the doctors or the security here, they were the reason she was missing in the first place. Is it really too much to ask for, for my daughter to be safe for all of five minutes?

"Mrs. and Mr. Jonas" I stood up abruptly

"Did you find her! Did you get my baby?"

"I'm sorry but-"

"But what?" I charged towards him at full speed but Nick held me back. "I'm sorry isn't going to get my baby girl back!"

"Ms. Lovato we're trying our best to-"

"Trying your best? TRYING YOUR BEST? IF YOU WERE TRYING YOUR BEST SHE'D BE HERE IN MY ARMS!"

"Demi, baby, please just breathe" I tried to take my husband's advice.

"Mrs. Jonas I know you're livid at these circumstances but you have to trust us-"

"Trust you?" I dryly chuckled. "I trusted you the first time and look where we are!" My voice was venomous. "My daughter is gone from your care and protection, and you want me to trust in you?" I spit harshly

"I promise you that, this, was out of my contr-" I put my hands in the air signaling him to stop talking

"Where's my son! I want to see my son!" I grew very impatient.

"Wouldn't you like to view the video of your daughter's surveillance cameras from her hospital room?" I tensed. Would he really show me the monster that took my baby girl? Did he think I could handle that? (A/N: the video is in Author's POV)

The room was silent. The only sounds coming through were the beeps and noises from the machines, not even breathing from Lilyana or Logan could be heard substantially.

Logan shuffled in his bed, trying to get comfortable with IVs stuck in his veins and wires running all over his body. Lilyana on the other hand was sound asleep, exhaustion took over, she wasn't asleep, more of in an unconscious state. She was in a critical position, anything that could harm or disrupt her recovery, could possibly be fatal.

All was the same for a while, a nurse or two that came to check up on them every 15 to 20 minutes or so. After the 14th visit, there was a nurse a new nurse, one that has never been seen at work in that hospital, in any hospital actually. They stared at the beautiful twins in amazement, it trotted over to Logan leisurely and ran fingers through his matted hair, lovingly. It was almost maternal and adorable, if it weren't so disturbing to watch a child while they slept.

The dark figure turned suddenly and smiled widely at Lilyana. Their eyes could not be seen, not in this lighting, but their smile was cocky, it was bone chilling. Nothing could prepare the bare human eye for what happened next.
