Demi
I entered Lilyana's room slowly, sticking my head in first to check if she was still asleep. After all it was 2AM on a Friday night. I found her sitting by the window with her head in a book, writing her little heart out.
"Hey, baby. What are you up to?" I take my steps in stride not wanting to seem too eager as I wedge myself into the seat next to her. She subtly lays her head on my shoulder, her busy fingers continue to scribble words onto the paper as doodles nearly take over the entire page. "Want any help?" I offered.
"NO!" Her body jolts forcing the notebook closed. I am taken back, the look on my face screams hurt. "No, mom. Not like that. It's just that the kids that gave me a hard time yesterday at school was because they think you're gonna write the song for me and I just don't want that to happen...ya know?" I kissed the top of her head.
"I understand baby." I reassure her. "What are you writing about?" I pushed a little further, in hopes that she'd open up.
"Well honestly. I'm torn," her voice trails off as she looks down at her notebook.
"Oh yeah? About what?" She rests her head back on my shoulder and I lean my head on top of hers looking straight ahead at the bookcase on the wall.
"What I should write about. I started different songs. One about the bullies and my life here, a song about you, and one about.." her voices lowers as she utters the last part.
"About who?" I smirk knowing exactly who she's talking about just wanting to hear het say it for herself.
"Axeeeeel," she squeals in embarrassment. Shoving her head into my shoulder.
"Can I give you some advice? You know as your mom, not as Demi Lovato: Singer Song Writer International Pop star?" I turn to face her. Her glistening blue orbs peer into mine, "Baby, just follow your heart okay?" She nods her head.
Lilyana
"Get ready baby girl!!" Mom squeaks like an over excited child, a large goofy grin eating up her face as she sways with her excitement. Wow, I take a moment to admire my beautiful mother as she towers over me.
