Chapter 12

(Stella is 39 weeks pregnant)

(Stellas POV)

today Kelly had shift, but I decided that I was going to stay home because I wasn't feeling the beast, but he insisted on bring the girls with him and I was not in the mood to argue. they left and I was finishing the last couple things for the twins we decided that we were going to keep the genders to ourselves. 

(Kelly's POV)

today we luckily haven't had a lot of calls and every time my phone goes off, I latterly pick it up in less the seconds. "Are you expecting a message or something Lieutenant" carver asks me "he does have a 39-week pregnant wife at home." Herrman says and carver didn't know what to say.

and then the door swings open and I knew I have been forgetting something the last several months when my mom waked in the door.  "There is my boy" "hi mom" and then the girls go running by and they were chasing Tuesday "hey girls please don't chase the dog." I tell them, "Sorry daddy" Jalay says, "its ok why don't you go and get the coloring stuff and go and color with Uncle Capp" I tell them "Ok" and they run of, and I look back at my mom and my mom looks very confused. 

we go into the briefing room "do you maybe want to explain to my Kelly why there's too little girls calling you dad and stella is not here, Kelly I had some faith that you weren't going to turn in to your dad and have 50 kids." when she said that I didn't know what to say I just pulled out my phone and showed her my lock screen witch is a pitcher of us at are court date with the girls and of course Stella 

"Mom, me and Stella adopted those two little girls there I identical twins that's Jalay she is sweet, selfless, and one of my favorite things that she does is when I leave for work, she says 'keep your bag of the wall please'. And that's Julia she fearless, extremally hardheaded but also silly and they both have a heart the size of the world. And I know I screwed up on not calling you sooner but the day we got the papers that said we get to adopt the girls Stella found out she was pregnant with twins and life mom life has been crazy but so amazing."

by this time, me and my mom have tears on my face. "I'm so sorry for just expecting things Kelly" my mom says, "its ok mom" and then my phone lights up with Stella face "hello is everything ok." I say, "ya the only thing is that my water broke" she tells me cool as a clam "what really I'm on my way."

i run out and whisper into Brett and violets ear and we all run out to the ambo "Cruz you're in charge the rest of shift." I say and we are off.
