Inari's POV
A Few Days Later~~~~~
The atmosphere was tense as I made my decision clear. Inumaki lay on the ground, and I stared at my hands, frustration evident in every line of my face.
"This isn't working!" I exclaimed, causing everyone to turn their attention to me. "What's wrong?" Maki asked casually.
"I don't feel like I've improved," I admitted with a heavy sigh.
"Really?! I think you're doing more than enough!" She reassured me, but I couldn't shake the feeling of failure.
"This is not going to be enough!" I asserted firmly. "What are you gonna do?" Fushiguro questioned and I smirked. "I'm going to the demon's realm, of course!"
"I thought those were myths?!!" Maki asked frowning and I shook my head. "I know an entry."
"But it's dangerouns." Kugisaki gasps and protested, but I remained resolute. "Ha ha, there's no other way," I replied, attempting to lighten the mood as I ruffled Kugisaki's hair affectionately.
"What will you do there?" Panda asked.
"There's something called the Dark Tournament that's held every year..." I explained, outlining my plan. "I'm planning on participating in it with Ouroboros."
"Mm-hmm," Panda nodded solemnly. With my mind made up, I knew there was no turning back.
"Bring me something back." Fushiguro's request for a souvenir. "Weapons for me." Maki's reminder about cursed weapons."
Oh-Ka-Ka...." and Inumaki's quirky remark added a touch of lightness to the heavy atmosphere. "Why are you guys so calm?!" Kugisaki's exasperation mirrored the concern bubbling within her.
"What do you mean? She's a witch... Her ways of using cursed energy are different from us," Maki explained, attempting to reassure her.
"Even so... Inari-Chaaann!! Don't die!!" Kugisaki's plea tugged at my heartstrings, and I couldn't help but chuckle at her affectionate worry.
"I'll be fine, Nobara. Don't worry!" I reassured her, planting a gentle kiss on her temple.
With my friends' well-wishes echoing in my mind, I made my departure, promising to return within a week.
But before embarking on my journey, I sought out Gojo and Principle Yaga to inform them of my decision.
That evening I sat down with them, detailing my plans to venture into the demon world to hone my Jujutsu skills. "Let me go!"
"Okay---" I expected Gojo's enthusiastic approval. " NO!" However, Yaga surprised us both by interjecting firmly,
"You honestly believe I'm gonna listen to you..." I chuckled, a bit too naively. Despite his insistence, I knew that I would still go, determined to follow my chosen path.
"Fine..." I grinned, unfazed by Yaga's attempt to dissuade me. My mind was set, and nothing would deter me from my goal.
Yaga's agreement came with a cautionary reminder to watch my back at all times, a piece of advice I took to heart as I prepared for my journey into the demon world.
As I made final preparations, Gojo unexpectedly entered my room, his presence injecting a sense of levity into the tense atmosphere.
"Don't die," he quipped, his tone teasing yet genuine concern lurking beneath the jest.
"oH, Fuck off!" I shot back with a playful grin, knowing his words were meant in jest. We shared a light-hearted moment, our laughter echoing in the room, before I set off on my journey.
