A/N: This is not edited. Sorry guys, enjoy!
I awoke with a start, the morning sun gleaming in through the windows. I felt especially comfortable this morning, and reveled in it. The past few nights I hadn't slept well, always missing the warmth that Logan had given me. A warmth that, that I am feeling right now.
"Shit." I mumble, opening my eyes and taking in the sight before me. We were almost spooning, except I was facing him and more on top of him than anything. His face indicated that he was still sleeping because the brow of worry that has been covering is forehead the past few days was gone. All that was left were his defining features; his sharp jaw, even though it is relaxed, and his cheekbones, prominent and handsome. If he opened his eyes right now I would be able to look into those bright green orbs, the ones that look right through me and into the core of my very soul.
"Kitty Kat?" Logan grumbles, pulling me out of the trance that I had entered the second that I woke up.
"Shit." I say again, untangling myself from him.
"Shit, Kat, what are you doing here?" Logan grumbles, clearly almost completely asleep. He wipes his eyes and sits up. His hands go to reach for me, but then stop as if he was waking up and realizing what he was going to do.
"You uh, you were screaming last night-"
He looks at me, the faintest hint of a smile covering his features, "You came to see if I was alright?"
I shake my head, avoiding the question and completely removing myself from the bed. I run a hand through my hair, "This was a mistake." I grumble.
"Princess, Kat, wait, please." He begs, standing up and towering over me; intimidating me.
"No." I say grumpily, making my way down the stairs. "I have somewhere to be, Logan."
He looks frantic, as if he is searching for a reason for me to stay. His eyes look like mine; tired and all out of tears.
"Where is it that you go all damn day?"
"The strip club." I answer, grabbing my bag from the couch and making sure that everything is in it.
His eyes go wide for a second, "Is that how you are paying for your apartment?" He asks, grabbing my arm, "I will actually kill anyone who laid a fucking dirty hand on you I swear to god Kat-"
"It was a joke." I say, although I don't laugh, sighing at the way I was already speaking to him and it wasn't even 10:00.
He smiles, "Right." He scratches the back of his neck nervously, then leaning up and down on his tippy toes like a child.
"I have to go." I say, then regret it. I do not, do not have to address him.
.......
"Wow Kath, someone is angry today!" Don says, backing up and signaling that we were going to take a break.
"Not the best morning." I say, smiling at the banter.
"Well, in case you were wondering, there is going to be a shit ton of people here today. One of the gyms nearby is renovating so, we get them for a while. Double the pay though, so I'll take it." I grimace when he is finished speaking.
"Uh, I'm terrible. Now everyone is going to see!" I whine, not liking when anyone else was in the gym during my training.
He laughs, "Nah, you are one of our best females." He says honestly.
