Nicks pov:

The next morning I woke up with Charlie's head still on me. SHOOT. I FELL ASLEEP AND CHARLIE DIDNT GO HOME. OMG WHAT HAVE I DONE. "Char, charlie, wake up" you could hear the panic in my voice. "mmmm" my eyes started watering because he didn't know I had forgot. "Im so sorry charlie, I fell asleep, I forgot to wake you up for goodness sake" " it's fine nick. Just another thing to add to my list." "Charlie, I'll come with you, she won't be angry with you then" that's all I could think of, charlie wasn't freaking out though, he just hugged me. I'm so angry at myself.
"Your the best, nick" "come on let's go" I grabbed my shoes and slid them on, charlie put his on too, and then his coat.

*ten minute time skip*

We got to Charlie's house. And walked inside "charlie, where have you been" "didn't realise the time and fell asleep at Nicks" "Ok you had me worried."
That was it? I thought he would be in trouble? "Bye charlie!" "Bye nick!" I shut the door behind me and got my phone out of my backpack. Thats when I heard shouting. I thought it was just a little argument up first, even me and my mom argue. But then I started hearing bangs? I stayed a minute longer just to make sure it was ok. I wad about to leave and then *SLAM* what the hell had happened. I barged into the house. "I heard a bang is everyone okay?" "Yes everyone's fine darling, you can go." Charlie's mom replied. I didn't believe her. I barged past and saw charlie huddled in a ball on the floor. "It wasnt his fault!!" I shouted "What have you done!!!" Jane had pushed charlie down against the cupboards, he wasn't hurt from that, I think it was her words who hurt him. "S-she w-asnt ev-een wwworriedd about mee" his voice was shaking like mad. "What did you say." I had never been this tense with someone's mom. Not even my own "tell me what you said!!" I demanded. "You pretended everything was fine, and I come in and charlie can't talk and is shriveled up on the floor. WHAT HAPPENED!" " I'm sure he can handle this, I'm calling your mother." "Do you know what he's been through these past couple of months?" I say this quietly, but angry at the same time, my voice slowly fading away. "No, no I haven't. Charlie's a big boy, I'm sure what ever happened, he could handle it, now will u excuse me." "Have. You. Not. Seen. The bruises all over his arms." "What are they from?" "BULLIES. HE GOT KICKED AND SHOVED AND CALLED NAMES." "This has nothing to do with me, that's Charlie's fault." "W-what how's it my fault." Charlie's voice is almost unaudible. "Your gay charlie use common sense. Your going to get bullied." " I can't help being gay?"
"You can. Date a girl for God's sake." "He is your son. You can't talk to him about that." " Nick at the end of the day this has nothing to do with you, get out now or I'm calling your mom." "HE SAVED MY LIFE MOM. WITHOUT NICK I WOUKD BE DEAD. YOU HEARD ME. DEAD." "LEAVE RIGHT THIS INSTANT AND TAKE NICK WITH YOU. YOU DO NOT SHOUT AT YOUR MOTHER."

Charlie's pov:

I barge out of the house nick following after me. I start kicking my leg, hard and like I meant it, I made it hurt. "Don't kick you leg." " I will kick my leg." "Char, don't beat yourself up for it. I should've set an alarm." " Nick it's not your fault. I shouldn't have relied on you." The next moment nicks arms were around me. "You can stay at mine as long as you need. Okay?" "Mhm. Thank you. I'm so tired." And now I'm being carried by nick. "You can go to sleep like this if you want." I buried my head into nicks shoulder. "What if someone sees?" "Hm" "I don't want to get you outed" "I don't care, I think I'm bisexual, and I've kinda been hiding how worried I've been about it. But I came to realisation that as long as i have you I'll be fine." I was pretending to be asleep now, but i heard every word, and gave nick a slight kiss on the neck. I love nick.

Hey everyone!! Sorry this is a short part but each part will be more spaced out now as I have school starting Wednesday, I will try and write as much as possible by then and gradually post them. I've been getting most of my support on the fan fiction from my tik tok but i am also so grateful for the over 200 people on here who have read!! The parts will gradually get happier and happier. Please consider commenting whether I should go up to their marriage, or when they both finish uni. And should I include more of the other characters? I have already got the ending of the book in my head, and just a warning its VERY SAD and I'm scared to write it tbh. But ik that it will be very different to any other fan fic. Bye for now!!
