Chapter 5 - Dinner

Taylor's pov

My heart is pounding and his hand on all over my body he keeps leaning in wanting to kiss me but the guilt of Evelyn is heavy on my mind and suddenly he starts to beg for us to kiss and I cave I kiss him and he kisses back harder I put my hands and entangle them in his hair and he pulls me forward and groans into the kiss we hear the front door open and I pull back slightly but he pulls me back in and kisses me even harder I slightly moan into the kiss and he smirks trailing the kisses down my neck and back up kissing me desperately till his grip on me loosens and he pulls away

He looks at me enchanced and plays with my hair slightly and I smile softly closing my eye and resting my head on his shoulder when I look back up he looks at me and places a soft kiss on my lips that seemed far more intimate than what just occurred and he grabbed my hand lifting me off the counter and putting me on the ground "let's go to the kitchen" he smiles at me and we start slightly running to the kitchen hand in hand
We turned the corner laughing and were face to face with Karen "Woah! slow down you two, where's eve?"

"In her room" he lets go of my hand and hugs his mom and she smiles someone's in a good mood "yeah I really am" I smile and she looks at the two of us "I'm gonna make spaghetti wanna help?" I already know that with Jordan cooking this is gonna be easy and happily agree "Yeah, sure" we start getting everything out of the bags and setting it on the counter " hey Taylor do you know how to make spaghetti?"

"Um no not really" I smile a bit awkwardly and Jordan smiles at me like I'm crazy "Oh well Jordan show her how, it's real easy" He laughs a bit "You really don't know how to make spaghetti?" He looked at me dumbfounded "no I don't why's that shocking" he shakes his and cocks it "It's not it's just you love spaghetti and you have no idea how to make it"

"I have an idea- whatever just show me smartass" you replied not wanting to start an argument because we know how to bicker with each other
"I'm sure you like my ass" he said mumbling i turn my head to him with a shocked look on my face and my jaw slightly drops "what" he looks at me innocently "Nothing" he replied smirking
I look at him and his smug face two can play at that game you guys put it in the pot and went over to his mom

"Do you guys remember when we all used to cook together, well you might not you guys were still very young but I think we have pictures somewhere" my face twists into something of confusion and Jordan speaks up "When did we used to cook together ma?" She smiles and pushes her hair back letting out an exasperated sigh "I think you were around 5 and the girls and Timmy were about 4 while Tommy wasn't born yet"

"Me and my family too?" She lets out a big laugh and hugs me "Of course your mom was my coworker when I still used to work and we became good friends but we fell out of touch and you came along want to be friends with Evelyn so it all worked out" I smile and look at her
"Was my dad there?" She puts on a small smile and rubs my shoulder "Yeah he was all of us were the moms, kids, and dads"

I looked at Jordan smiling imagining in trying to cook at 5 years old he was probably doing the best of course and everyone being there "okey well dinners ready so go get your sister" Jordan started to go when I followed him

"how many people have you kissed" I asked because he was my first and I really loved it
"Very few" I look at him with my eyebrows furrowed "But you kissed me, why?" He smiles and puts his hand on my face "I just wanted to kiss you" he said looking into your eyes and leaning in again you wanted so badly for him to kiss you again but you stopped him "I'm sorry but what would we tell Ev, I don't want to hurt her" he looks at you and his voice drops in almost a whisper "Do you not want me to kiss you"

I smile and out my hand on his cheek "well of course I do I really really do but what about her"
He rubs his thumb on my face and smiles "If she really loves us she'll understand" He started to kiss me again and I let him it seemed like once we started we couldn't stop not to breath, smile, or think but eventually we stopped again "is this stupid"

"Does it feel stupid?" He looks at me deeply and I replied by kissing him again "let me go get her I'll talk to her tonight about the idea of us and if she flips we might have to think of something else" and holds me and smiles "I'm willing to make that sacrifice as long as it means I get to have you and hold you in my arms every night"

I smile and put my hand on his cheek "I really want to kiss you again but we're keeping Karen waiting so I'll be right back okay he smirks and kisses right under my ear before walking away what a fucking tease I walk down the hall and get to Evelyn's room knocking and slowly walking in "Eve, wake-up time for dinner" he takes a deep breath and gets up "Okay"

I sit down and put my hand on her leg "Are you okay? After everything?" She smiles and giggles a bit "He called me" I raise my eyebrows slightly and try not to say the wrong thing "What did he say, was he a jerk if he was ill best him to shit"
Her eyes widen and she laughs "oh no no he was sorry for what he did and he said he did like me but was just scared but he also doesn't want to be with me because of Jordan"

"He's scared of him" all the sudden I'm amused to the situation he's scared of him I mean I would be too if I got my ass handled in front of everyone "I mean yeah he beat the shit out of him for me" she said the last part smiling
"He really loves you yk and just wants you to be happy are you sure this thing with Benny will be worth it?"

"I know and I want him to be happy but with certain people I'm sure he feels the same way"
I start to zone out and I can hear my own ears ringing what the actual hell does that mean
I felt your heart ache at the last statement "yeah I feel that for the both of you too" I fake a smile and try to act like that didn't hurt me  I'm overthinking it but did she not think you were enough for him or something she saw the panic on your face and puts her hand on yours "Hey you okay?"

I break out of my little zone like everything clicked back into place and I look at her "Yeah but we should go down to dinner Karen's probably wondering where we are" we get to the kitchen and see Jordan hugging karen "you guys okay?"

"Yeah, just felt like giving hugs" Karen said hugging me I look at him skeptically and he shrugs acting clueless I feel something off but set it aside "Guys go set the table" you guys put everything together when Jordan spoke up and nudged you "hey Is she okay?" I shrug "Yeah I think but she's just tired" I half lied not wanting to tell him about her and Benny because it could become a whole thing right now so I'll give it time "Do you think you could talk about us tonight if not another night, I wanna give her time" I look at him and his face drops "what" I wanna ask him about us but oh whatever "what even is "us" what are we like you're confusing me"

He looks at me and I can tell he's thinking "I don't know" I close my eyes and think "so what is there to talk about if we don't even know what we are" he looks at me and puts his hand on my face "can't you feel this the way we look at each other I can feel it and I want you to feel it too I really want you" I melt into his touch and sigh "I feel it I really do I want you but I'm scared about what Evelyn will say" he pulls me in a plays with my hair "it'll all be okay we will be together eventually I'll make sure of it" he looks at me and kisses me softly

"I think I'll be able to" I said smiling at him while Karen and Evelyn walk in with the food and he rushes over to help his momma  "Okay guys let's eat"

Time skip

We finished eating and were cleaning up when the phone rang "hey karen is Taylor sleeping over again?" She smiles and twirls her finger around the cord "Yea, do you know that Sonya's husband -"I stoped listening to the conversation when I noticed Jordan staring at me and gosh I would love to stare back right now but  he just seemed enthralled or lost in thought "What" I said gesturing to Evelyn "nothing, was just spacing out" he said winking before walking away and Evelyn turned to me and grabbed my hand "let's go to my room"
