Adam ponders on the question all day Saturday. He even made a pros and cons list on it and then pondered on that for hours. Adam rolls over in his bed and checks his alarm clock, 12:54am. He sighs and rolls back over. He stares up at a crack in his ceiling. His mind brings him back to last Sunday. The whole thing is burned into his mind, forever there. Every word he said and every word she said back. Every movement, every facial expression.

Adam doesn't know when or how he fell asleep, but he did. He woke up at 9:00 am and dragged himself out of bed. He changes and heads downstairs to eat something for breakfast. He searches the kitchen for at least 10 minutes before settling on waffles. He grabs 2 and pops them into the toaster and waits. He stands there, lost in his thoughts once again. When the waffles pop up, it scares the shit out of him. He mentally slaps him self, then grabs them and puts them on his plate. He walks over to the table and is just about to sit down when the phone rings. He gets back up and picks up the phone.

"Hello?" Adam answers the phone and waits for a response.

"Hey Adam, I was just wondering if you heard from y/n yet?" Connie speaks from the other end of the line.

"Not yet. I'm really worried about her Connie."

"I am too Adam. Have you asked Charlie? I know they weren't on the greatest terms but maybe they made up and nobody knew?" Connie suggests. Adam takes it into consideration.

"Yeah, I'll pop over to his place later today, after I go check her apartment again."

"Okay Adam, let me know how it goes."

"Of course Connie, thank you." She hangs up and Adam finally sits down to eat. He eats his food fast and sits at the table for a moment. He hasn't seen Charlie since Charlie had a fit and quit hockey and school. Adam knew that he had to go, he just had to find the courage to do so without getting mad, which would be hard.

Adam waited till after lunch, then grabbed his keys and drove to y/ns apartment. He walked up the steps and into the building. He gets to her floor and knocks on the door. After a few minutes he knocks again. There's no answer. He sighs in defeat then hear a voice.

"Are you looking for the girl that lives there?" An older woman walked down the hallway, towards Adam.

"Yes, she's my," Adam pauses only for a second, 'Girlfriend? Ex?' "friend and I haven't heard from her."

"No doubt, she and this man came and went a few days ago. He locked the place up and they left. Nobody's been in since." The woman continues, Adam following her into the elevator.

"Oh. Who was the man? Did you hear a name or get a look at him?" Adam asks. The elevator dings and they are in ground floor.

"No I didn't. I do hope she is okay, I could hear her crying and she looked sort of hurt when I caught a glimpse of her quickly through a crack in my door. I'm a nosey neighbour." The lady finishes and walks down the steps. Adam helps her. "I'm sorry but that's all I know, I'm sorry I couldn't be more help."

"No, please, thank you, you've been lots of help. Have a good day!" Adam replies and goes back to his car. He sits there, taking in everything that the woman had just told him. He starts the car and heads in Charlie's direction.

He pulls up in front of Charlie's apartment with dread. Adam gets out and walks up the steps to Charlie's. When he gets in front of his door, he stands a minute to gather himself before he knocks.

"Coming." Charlie's voice from inside calls out. The door opens and Charlie's face drops a little when he sees Adam standing there.

"Charlie can I come in?" Adam asks and Charlie scoffed, turning around leaving the door open for Adam to come in on his own. Adam walks in and shuts the door behind him.

"What do you want Adam." Charlie says, obviously in a mood.

"Have you seen or heard from y/n?"

"I haven't spoke to her since she took my title as Captain." Charlie angrily says, obviously still holding a grudge.

"So she hasn't been here?"

"Get it through your head. No she hasn't. I haven't seen her. Why don't you call her or go to her apartment." Charlie suggests, almost in a sarcastic tone.

"I have, Charlie. She's gone." Adam states and Charlie suddenly can't breathe. He feels a small tightening in his chest.

"What do you mean she's gone?" Charlie asks, concerned.

"She was at school last Monday, and then she disappeared. No note, no nothing, she's gone."

"Why am I only hearing if this now? Why wasn't I told?!" Charlie blurts, tears fighting to come out.

"You haven't exactly been the easiest person to talk to Charlie." Adam raised his voice a bit, trying to get his point across.

"Still, I should've been told!" Charlie shouts, and Adam stares at him.

"If you had have been at school or let go the fact that she became captain, maybe you would have known."

"Don't bring that shit up. That's between me and her." Charlie speaks and points his finger at Adam.

"No not really, did you know that she cried because you weren't speaking to her? I was the one there so if anything it's between me and you as well." Adam angrily shouts, staring Charlie down hard. Charlie stares at Adam blankly, slowly realizing how immature he'd been.

"Listen Charlie. You need to grow up and quit acting like a fucking baby. If you had have acted like a mature adult, maybe Orion would have made you Captain. Like come on man, I know being Captain was a big deal to you, but you could've been happy for her. Now quit acting like an immature idiot, and come back to school and hockey, the team needs you and when we find y/n or when she comes back, she's going to want you there." Adam sternly says, before walking out Charlie's apartment, leaving Charlie inside with a million thoughts going through his head, but one sticking out.

"Where did she go?"

"Where did she go?"
