Jolting up from the bed, you looked over to your right to see the see-through door wide open letting the strong wind in. Slightly annoyed, you got up to close the door until you looked at the balcony to find a strange small figure as black as the night with white glowing eyes. Curiosity was killing you at this point to investigate. Giving into the curiosity, you walked through the door and went to touch the figure. . .

Unfortunately, the creature jumped off of the balcony and down to the very bottom of the castle grounds. A little freaked out, you wanted to go back into your room until you saw that the figure had something in its mouth. It looked like a old piece of paper with writing on it? Almost like the same pieces of paper you had in your bag! You rushed into your room and grabbed your bag to see both of the papers still in the bag. Relieved, you went back out the balcony to see the creature still there like it was waiting for you. . .

Unknowing of where to go from there, you looked over your left to see vines on the side of the balcony.

"Why do I have to be so curious. . ."

You said as you grabbed onto a sturdy vine, yanking on it with a lot of force to make sure it was safe to climb down from. You stepped onto the railing of the balcony debating your life choices. Closing your eyes, you jumped off the balcony. . .

Sliding down the vine quickly, but not quick enough to hurt your hands or to hurt yourself on impact. You slowly reached the ground as you got off the vine letting go of it. Grateful that it was finally over, you noticed the creature running off towards the town. Determined, you ran straight after it.

When you finally got to the entrance of the town, the place was silent. It was pretty dark out so they are most likely asleep. You looked around for the creature until you noticed it on top of a cart. Running over to the cart and jumping up for the creature, you missed landing into the fruit the cart was selling. Pulling yourself out, the creature was running on top of the rooftops. There was no way of making up there, not in the slightest.

Unless. . .

Worried that the plan wouldn't work, you wanted to know what the creature was and what it had in its mouth. You put your plan into action. You jumped on a propped mushroom, onto a cart shader, and on to a shorter store. . . Or . . . at least that's what you planned. . . You ended up flying way too far off the mushroom and back into the fruit basket you fell in before. A little upset at yourself for messing your plan up so badly, you tried it again. . . and again . . . and again. . .

Tired and annoyed, you looked back up at the creature and saw it still there. This would be your last attempt before climbing back onto the vine and into your bedroom again. You jumped onto the mushroom and it bounced you perfectly onto the cart shader! You then bounced off of the cart shader and onto the shorter store.

"Yes! I did it! Haha!"

You finally started to jump onto the mushroom buildings to get to the creature but it continued onto other buildings. You continued to follow it until it made a long jump to the opposite end of the street. Stopping yourself before falling, you looked back at the creature who sat on the building it jumped onto. Determined yet afraid, you made a long leap of faith for the end of the street. You made it! Well . . . your hands did, your body not so much. Hanging onto the building, you could feel your grip slipping slowly. Afraid falling from a height like this could most likely sprain or even break a bone. Trying your best to lift yourself up, your upper body strength was weak. Soon enough your right hand gave out, leaving your left to keep you up. Slowly but surely, your left hand let go of the ledge and you were falling. . .

.

.

.

.

"Ow. . ."

You said as you looked around to find yourself back on the roof of the mushroom homes. You first checked your body and found no wounds, scars, bruises, nothing. You looked ahead and saw the creature again with the paper still in its mouth. It started to run ahead. You chased after it as it went straight through a tree. A little worried, you walked into the tree, moving the branches and leaves in your way.

"Woah. . ."

You said as you looked around the new area you found. The area was like the misted forest but the trees were a luscious green as well as the grass and moss on some of the trees. Every direction you looked was beautiful. The lighting made it look mid day but was still shaded by the trees so it didn't hurt your body. You then looked straight ahead and saw the creature better. The creature was spiky looking but a fluffy kind of spiky. Like it wouldn't hurt you if you touched it, but no matter how much you moved its hair around, it would stay the original way. It was full black with a devil looking tail and white eyes. It looked almost like a cat but too demon-ish to be a cat either. It still had the paper in its mouth on top of a moss covered tree trunk that was being decomposed by mushrooms.

It leaped off the tree trunk and ran deeper into the forest. You still amazed by your surroundings, followed it. The more you chased it, the more you got to look around. There was even a simple dirt pathway that the cat was running through. You saw the cat run across another log, only it was right over a river. Standing on the beginning of the log, the log was wide and stable so it looked like you could walk on it as many times as you wanted to. Walking over it, you continued to run after the creature. You then found yourself at another river only there was no log, but there was a waterfall on the left. You looked towards the creature as it looked like it was pointing its tail towards the waterfall. Looking over at the waterfall, you the dirt road going into the waterfall and to the other side. You ran over to the waterfall and walked behind it. There was a wonderful blue lighting to it and the water was crystal clear. Curiously, you put your hand into the water. As you felt the water, it made you feel at ease. Getting back on track, you ran to the other side of the waterfall where the creature sat. When it noticed you out of the waterfall, it started to run on the path again. You ran after the creature for another five minutes until you stopped dead in your tracks and saw that the creature was climbing a huge tree.

You sighed as you knew exactly what this lead to, you were already this far into chasing the creature to the point that you had no idea how to really get back. You started to climb up the roped ladder Infront of the tree. As you slowly climbed up, you noticed wonderful orange fireflies flying around the tree. As you got higher, the more of them there were. There wasn't enough to make you grossed out, but it was a very warm and welcoming lighting. As you finally  reached the top, you climbed into what looked to be a treehouse, only it was huge! It was like a normal two story home, only it was in a tall tree! Walking inside was like living in your cottage again. Even though your cottage one story, this place gave off the same wonderful vibe your old cottage gave. The welcoming fireplace, the beautiful appliances, the peaceful lounge area with a rug, reclined chair, a coffee table, and. . . A cat bed, cat bowls and a scratching post? Those are new? A little confused, you only ignored the random cat items and went upstairs. You found a wonderful bedroom that looked like your old one, the wonderful wooden bed frame, the curtains that reach to the floor, the wooden closet along with a dresser this time, a wooden desk with a book and pencil already on it, and even a bathroom on the left side of the room!

Before you could see if you missed anything, you noticed the creature on the bed. The creature looked at you with its white eyes. Afraid at first, you slowly walked up to the creature. You slowly started to reach your hand at the paper until the creature put the piece of paper right in your hand and jumped onto the dresser! Confused but all the more grateful, you opened the folded up paper to see the same writing as the last two papers you have now. . .
