Friable (Luigi x Reader)

Ch. 4

"(Y/n)? Are you awake?"

You turned towards the door and took a deep breath. You can do this, you've got this! You looked back at Raven as they right next to your leg and you opened the door.

"Oh you are awake! We wanted to show you around the castle now! Just so your not lost around the castl-"

Before Peach finished her sentence, she looked down to your leg and saw Raven sitting there patiently. 

"Is that. . . a hallowed devil cat? How did you get one of those!?"

Confused and worried, you looked back down at Raven to see them still sitting next to you sweetly and calmly. Raven made you feel calm looking at them. You weren't fully sure why, but it just felt right. You looked back at Peach as she almost looked freak out at this point.

"Uhm. . . are you ok. . .?"

You asked as she snapped out of her frozen feared state. 

"Yes! I'm perfectly fine! I just want to ask before we look around the castle. . . how did you get that?"

You looked at her in confusion. Did she mean Raven?

"Well I was-"

You stopped. You wanted your cottage in the trees to be a secret just incase something would happen if you needed a place to be alone. Peach looked at you waiting for you to finish your sentence. You came up with a excuse to cover up the fact the area even existed. 

"I uh- they were sitting on my balcony! And I- started to pet them and they seemed to like me a lot! So I'm keeping them!"

You stated. I mean half of that was true, you just cut off ninety percent of the story. Peach looked at you in suspicion but didn't seem to be questioning it that hardly.

"Ok well. . . because I want you to be on good terms with Mario; I'm making the Mario Brothers show you a tour of the castle and maybe even other parts of the kingdom Toad didn't show you."

You still fearful in your heart, you only nodded because Raven would be next to you the entire time. With them near you, you would be fine! You hoped anyway. . .

"Perfect! I'll go get them now! You can stay here until they knock on your door if you'd like! It shouldn't take too long."

You nodded at her again as she closed the door in your face gently. You did a big sigh again. You wanted to be on good terms with everyone, but Mario seems to be suspicious of you. I mean, he has every right to be, a human coming out of nowhere even though the 'pipes' were closed off? What ever the pipes are. . . they must be connected to you somehow.

You walked over to the kitchen to make breakfast. You haven't eaten after you ate all of your berries in the plains yesterday. You noticed the white rectangle in the corner of the kitchen. You opened it and you suddenly got shivers because of how cold it randomly got. You closed the white box and it got warm again. Confused, you opened the box again and the chills came back. It must have been coming from the box. You noticed Raven going into the box and grabbed something out of it. It was round and red with a stem and a leaf on it. 

"What is that? I've never seen something like that before?"

You grabbed another one out of the box and looked at it. It was shining every angle you turned it to. You looked back at Raven to see that they bit into the red round thing. Curious, you bit into the red thing as well for it to taste juicy and sweet. It was almost like berries only it was more sweet than sour. Next thing you know, you took another bite, and another, and eventually you finished the red thing. The only thing you didn't eat was the middle part. Unlike berries, the middle part was hard and you couldn't bite through it. You saw Raven jump up to a trash can and through the middle part into the trash. You followed in their steps and asked Raven all sorts of questions.

"Hey Raven, what did I just eat and are there other things like this? What was the box thing I grabbed it out of? Are there other things in this place I can eat?"

Raven then jumped into your bag and grabbed the mirror from inside of it. They then put their paw on the mirror and text appeared.

"The item you just ate is called an apple. Its a type of fruit, kind of like your berries it just tastes different. The white box you got it out of is called a fridge, it holds food like the apple you ate a few minutes ago. It holds many other foods as well but it can keep food fresh for longer than if you leave it out. And yes, there are plenty of things in this kingdom you can eat, I can even nod to you if its edible and shake my head if not. Just make sure to check with me first."
