Sitting at the table Hades watched as Mesilva began her presentation. Watching the projection, it started with a collage of all the different disasters Izumi had been apart of. Images of Hizashi, the creature rejection cult, the fires as well as the people who started it, and the storm that threw Izumi into the scene was shown.
Mesilva, seeing it loaded, began. "I have called everyone here today for a meeting about our little girl Izumi. She had been part of many disasters, including but not limited to her father trying to sacrifice her, her class trying to burn her alive, a storm throwing her into the ocean, and the most recent, the creature rejection clan. Pointing to each image as she spoke of them, she continued.
"Normally, we wouldn't care about such issues because humans are fickle and some get unlucky, but even those cases are different from Izumi. Those cases all show either fate interfering to make the issues, life damning one to hardship, or they all have a root cause." Waving her arms, Hades caught the slight golden glow of ichor on her clothes. "After some interrogation, neither the Fates, nor life had anything to do with this. The root cause hasn't been determined either."
Showing a web diagram now, Mesilva explained the causes and which could be linked to each other in what way to try and build any real connection. "Hisashi was crazy and tried to commit the sacrifice from her quirklessness. The students were simply dark-spirited and were prejudiced against Izumi. The storm was due to a child sacrifice causing Neptune, a sea god, grief, and the Creature Rejection Clan was simply prejudiced against all mutation-types. None of these events have any connection other than they happened to Izumi."
Pulling out the third slide, Mesilva finally made her point. "I believe that some gods are aiming for the demise of Izumi, whether it be for fun or malicious intent. Nothing this much should've happened to her."
With the presentation going on for another 2 hours, Hades was the first to interrupt the rambling primordial nature goddess. "If Izumi is really being aimed for, how do we keep her safe?"
Mesilva, pausing, looked down. "That's what I wanted to discuss. If she isn't safe even with our protection, how could we make sure?"
A quick discussion occurred before Cthulhu raised a tentacle. "If she could defend herself, then none of these would have happened." Pointing to each disaster, he lists her shortcomings. "She couldn't defend herself against sleeping gas, but she could if we trained her breathing and control of my power. She couldn't overpower flames and extreme environments, but Cerberus's fang makes that a moot point. Finally, she couldn't survive nature's wrath, but she only needs to learn better control of my suit to achieve that."
Seeing the others were paying attention, he continued. "She could be overpowered with skill, but she can train that. She could be tied down and trapped, but she just would need to train to control her strength. If she could train her powers and figure out the uses of them, none of this would have happened."
Finishing his piece, Cthulhu watches the remaining gods all think and hum a bit, before Baphomet raises a hoof and bleats. "I gave her my mark which allows her to use her powers as she wishes, but clearly she hasn't had skill with them. Perhaps a training partner for her to train against would be good?"
Hades perked up at the mention of a training partner. "We could throw her to the dog. Cerberus would love that too."
Getting a glare from Mesilva, Hades raised his hands in surrender. Seeing this, Mesilva continued. "She'll need experience fighting in all kinds of environments. I'll volunteer my and Cthulhu's domains to do just that. If you could provide some Furies as well to practice weaponry and hand-to-hand that will be good."
Cthulhu grunted a bit, and Hades grumbled from losing one of his generals. Mesilva wasn't going to take any resistance. "You will give them. RIGHT? "
