Aishatu's Pov

I tried calling Ishaq since Yesterday and it couldn't connect. I'm scared. I don't know what is wrong with Mama.
Hajiya Halimah insisted I had breakfast but I refused.
My mind wouldn't be at rest if I didn't see my mother.

AbdulHamid is here with me reassuring me that everything will be okay but I'm not convinced.
I keep crying inside the car.
Aeesh, control yourself people are watching us. AbdulHamid whispered in my ear but that didn't stop the acidic liquid that kept streaming down my cheek.

I nod my head and wipe my tears off.
Aeesh, let's pray nothing happen to her. I'm here for you. AbdulHamid said to me and I nod my head with a sniff.
I rested my head on AbdulHamid's shoulder and closed my eyes.

The Car stops and some passengers drop to urinate including the driver.
Abdul, why did the car stop? I muttered weakly.
Some passengers want to urinate and the driver too. AbdulHamid said to me.

I can't wait to reach Abuja. I muttered with a sigh.
We have 3 hours left. AbdulHamid said to me and I gasped.
3hrs! We still have a long journey. I muttered with a pout.
Don't worry we will soon reach Abuja.

The passengers walk to the car and enter inside. The driver also enter inside and ignite the car then continue on the journey.

Abuja Maitama

4:00 Pm

Aeesh! AbdulHamid tap me and I open my eyes.
What happen? Why did the car stop again? I ask AbdulHamid.
Because we have arrived at Abuja. AbdulHamid muttered.
We saunter out of the car and I call the bolt.

The bolt arrived at the park and I tell him where he will take us.
We enter inside and the man zooms out of the park.
I become uneasy. I looked at AbdulHamid and he give me a reassuring smile.

The bolt reached Alhaji Ibrahim's house and I paid him.
We saunter out of the car with our luggage.
I run inside not waiting for AbdulHamid.
AbdulHamid followed me inside.

I started trotting to the room I shared with my Mom.
Mama, I barge inside crying.
To say I was shocked will be an understatement when I saw Mama laughing with a girl whom I assumed to be the new Maid.

My Mom abruptly stand up when I barged inside the room crying.
AbdulHamid waits outside waiting for permission to enter inside.
Shatu, are you alright? What happened to you? My Mom asked me worriedly.

She walks to me and I hug her still crying.
shatu, talk to me what happen to you? My Mom asked me again.
Mama, Ishaq called me and he said I should come back home. I couldn't hear what happen when the call disconnected. I tried calling him and you too but it wasn't connecting.

Mama, I was worried I couldn't sleep since yesterday. AbdulHamid is outside we come together. I said all in one breath.

Shatu, I'm fine. I don't know why Ishaq called you.
Where is Abdul? My Mom ask me and I walk outside to call him in.
Abdul, Mama is fine. She wants to see you. I muttered and AbdulHamid follow me inside.

AbdulHamid greets my mom and she smiles at him.
Masha Allah. You are AbdulHamid whom my daughter always tell me about. You are so handsome. Welcome Son. My Mom said and AbdulHamid thanked her.

Mama, I won't spare Ishaq. I muttered with a hiss.
Shatu, this is Laila she is the new Maid Hajiya Khadija hire to be assisting me.
Laila, this is my daughter Aisha. My mom said.

Laila, hope you are taking good care of Mama. I ask her with a smile.
Yes, your Mom is a nice woman she won't stop talking about you and I was eager to see you. Laila said to me with a smile.
