Going back to the present, to real life, she remembered she never actually met up with her best friends. When the whole therapist,' jumping to an alternative universe' thing happened, she was terrified to talk to people, so she just let Jaewon answer her texts, in a way that they won't "sound suspicious". Thank God Wheein and Hwasa never texted her anything NSFW though. After the initial breakdown she had when she realized she had to go back to work, she slapped herself mentally and reread everything that Yong 1.0 had done in the past couple of months. She looked at her projects, her photoshoots, her sticky notes - everything. She felt semi-ready to go back to the magazine, but she wasn't ready to talk to all of her colleagues or her friends for that matter. Yong was too afraid to mess up something or forget someone's face, or someone's birthday. While she was freaking out her brother was doing research on TikTok. Eventually, they made up a story where she hurt her head and got a mild concussion and, well, retrograde amnesia, which according to Google meant a condition in which due to trauma the person can't remember events from the past that occurred before their trauma. It just fit perfectly with her current situation. She went to the magazine and fortunately, everything went smoothly. She was probably acting a lot like Yong 1.0 because no one suspected anything, but the people she was worried about the most, weren't actually there. Hwasa had texted her that she and Wheein finally got two weeks off of work, because of a photoshoot event coming up next month in Japan. The company decided to let the young models rest and honestly, the girls decided to use it as a couple's vacation. Yong was relieved to know they were dating because she knew they've had feelings for each other for years. The two weeks, however, had already passed, and the girls wanted to see her, complaining she barely texted them lately. She explained she wanted to let them enjoy their vacation and they reluctantly bought it, but Wheein was adamant on meeting her, so she kept texting for the past two or three days.

Yong logically knew she couldn't avoid them forever so she reached out for her phone, clicked on the text bar, and replied to her friend.
