Now back to the regular schedule (sort of) - the new chapter!!

We're getting Byul's pov in this chapter! Let's see all of the things she had to go through in order to get to Crescent City.
Did she make it there though?

Let's find out!

No TW for this chapter. It's just a roller coaster if emotions.

10:30 am__________

Byul was pacing around the office. Her father's friend had gone downstairs, about half an hour ago, to try and fix the problem with the vehicles they had, but no one was giving her any updates on what was happening. She wasn't known for her patience, specifically in situations like this. She hated being kept in the dark and she hated feeling helpless, hence why she was feeling so restless right now. Her heart was beating fast, her fingers pulsing, her hands were getting cold. She couldn't stay here. She needed to get out and find Yong. There were too many potential places where they could have gone, and Byul knew that if she didn't intercept them at a cemetery somewhere, she'd probably never see Yong again, and that was a risk she wasn't willing to take. She could have hired a car from anywhere and she would have probably been half the way to the city right now, but she knew she'd waste too much time. The chopper was the only fast option, but it didn't feel all that fast right now.

She kept on checking her notifications every two minutes. Hwasa still hadn't accepted her friend request. And will she ever? Byul was using her personal secret account. What if Hwasa was doing the same, and this account was managed by her agent or something? They'd never accept a friend request from a stranger, and Byul couldn't really use her real account because she'd have to call her secretary, her lawyers, and the PR person who has the password. Ugh. This was such a mess. Honestly, could this get any worse? A thunder echoed in the distance. No... She shouldn't have said that. Now there was a storm coming up, on top of everything! A storm meant Yong wouldn't stay outside. It also meant no flying. Would they still let her use the helicopter? And even if they did - was it the right thing to do? Byul looked at little Eun-ji, who was sitting on the leather couch, her little legs stretched forward, feet not touching the ground, hugging her rabbit, eating a bar of Snickers. Byul needed to be responsible. She couldn't take the child into the storm with her. Maybe it would be better if she goes by herself and lets Eun-Ji stay with Bahar. Thinking about Bahar, he went downstairs to help for a few minutes, and Byul hadn't heard from him ever since. Was the problem that serious? Just as she started to overthink everything, the door to the office opened with a loud creaking noise and her driver walked in.

"Miss Moon."

"How bad is it?" she asked right away.

"Not good. Apparently, they have a problem with a competitor. Most of the cars got their tires slashed."

"Heol.." Byul said and drove fingers through her hair.

"Breaks seemed to be intact, however. I'd say whoever it is, they're trying to sabotage the business. The other bodyguards went outside to check the perimeter... carrying guns-"

" And we're here with a child..."

"I don't think there's a threat right now, but if you allow me to express my opinion," he said and Byuld nodded, "I know your father respects him, but we don't know what this man is dabbling into, so as your personal safety advisor, I'd suggest we get out of here...as soon as we can."
