—❦—After yet another day at the bakery, I closed the bakery and headed back home.
As soon as I arrived home, I took off my shoes and went into the living room to watch some TV before going to sleep.

I didn't even notice the time go by. It was already 11:04 PM when I looked at the time. I turned off the TV and went back into my room after closing all the lights. Only the lamps on my nightstands were open, which made my room look dimly lit as it was dark outside. I tied my hair up in a messy bun after changing into comfy clothes for the night. As Orion and Aurora were asleep in their little beds, I walked over to my mirror for no particular reason...
As I looked at myself in the mirror, I got an odd feeling. I only got odd feelings looking at myself in mirrors since I got back... it couldn't go on like this. I sighed and grabbed a book from my nightstand before sitting in my bed to read.
As I was concentrated in reading my book, I heard a noise. At first, I didn't focus on it, thinking it was my cat meowing, but I soon noticed that it wasn't a meow but a whisper.
« Dahlia... » The whispering voice spoke.
Hell no...
I took a deep breath, closed my book, and closed my eyes as I repeated to myself that it was my imagination over and over again.
When I reopened my eyes, I could see something strange in my mirror. I couldn't just ignore it... I stood up and walked over to my mirror, now standing right in front of it. I blinked a few times, expecting something, but there was nothing.
I shrugged it off and turned around, but just as I turned around, I was met with Sleep. Startled, I let out a scream before stepping back and looking up at him. He was so... tall. Or maybe I was just short... Either way, he was tall to me.
« Familiar, isn't it? » Sleep asked, referring to the dream I had.
« What do you want?! » I asked, a bit overtook by panic at the moment.
« You're mistaken, Dahlia... » Sleep said, not answering my question.
My eyes narrowed, and I shook my head slightly. What did he mean? I'm mistaken?
« Your place isn't here, Dahlia. Look at yourself. » Sleep said, turning me around and putting both of his hands on my shoulders to hold me in place in front of my mirror.
I could feel his cold hands on my shoulders, and it sent chills down my back. It was all too familiar. I looked at myself in the mirror.
« What about myself? » I asked, wondering why he said 'look at yourself.'
Was something wrong with me?
« You don't bel- »
« No! No, shut up! My place is on earth, I dont want to go back to Eden you motherfucker! Your tricks won't work on me! » I exclaimed, interrupting Sleep mid-sentence, feeling a wave of anger wash over me.
« Don't talk to me like that, Dahlia! » Sleep raised his voice at me, which caused me to completely freeze in place.
He looked scary already, but having him raise his voice at me just made me even more afraid.
« Denying and fighting will lead to nothing. Behave, Dahlia. » Sleep said, his voice sounding like he was angry.
Before I even knew it, Sleep was gone, and I was left staring at my mirror, breathing heavily and still in shock. My vision suddenly started to darken and I felt dizzy. Oh, great, was this another one of Sleep's tricks or whatever?
I quickly walked over to my nightstand while trying not to trip over anything considering my blackened vision and dizziness. I grabbed my phone and didn't even have time to unlock it before I fell unconscious.
