—❦—I eventually got tired and went back to the cabin. As soon as I got in, I noticed Vessel wasn't asleep but sitting at his desk.
« Vessel? I thought you said you were going to sleep. » I said as I sat on the couch, petting Orion, who just happened to be lying there along with Aurora.
« Hm? No... I couldn't sleep. » He said, looking at me and smiling.
« What are you doing? » I asked curiously.
« Oh, just changing some lyrics to a song I'm writing. » Vessel told me.
« What's the name of the song? » I asked, walking over to his desk and looking at the sheet of paper he was writing on.
« Rain. » He said with a smile.
I read the lyrics in my head. « I love how you formulate the sentences... I mean, the lyrics. It's so... poetic. Do you get what I mean? » I said, looking at him.
« Yeah... Thank you, Dahlia. » He said, his voice filled with love as he said my name.
« No problem. » I said.
We looked at each other for a few seconds, smiling before I snapped out of it and walked over to the couch, sitting down on it.
« Don't you want to sleep somewhere more comfortable...? » Vessel asked.
I already knew what he was implying yet felt slightly unsure. « I don't know... I don't feel ready to share a bed with you. Sorry... » I said.
« Oh... that's okay. You need some space... I understand. » Vessel said quietly as he turned back to write the lyrics of the song.
I smiled a little at him even though he wasn't looking at me and couldn't see it. I then laid down on the couch, pulling the blanket over myself as I closed my eyes.

—❦—After Dahlia had fallen asleep, I continued writing the song. Once I was done, I looked over at Dahlia, smiling. She loved me back. We were... we were actually a thing now! I couldn't believe it.
I left the papers on my desk and walked over to Dahlia, giving her a small kiss on the forehead before going to lie down on my bed. I stared at the ceiling for a few minutes before actually falling asleep.
