—❦—I stared at the ceiling of Vessel's cabin as I lay on the couch. Vessel was lying in his bed, but it was hard to tell if he was asleep or not. Anyway, I wasn't going to risk waking him up just to check. Soon enough, I fell asleep and had a somewhat nice sleep compared to the multiple restless nights or again when I had nightmares.

As I woke up in the morning, I saw Vessel exiting the cabin, followed by Orion. I took some time to fully wake up before getting up from the couch. I stretched and ran my hand through my messy hair to somewhat make them look less messy as they always did in the morning. Once I considered myself ready, I walked out of the cabin, the rising sun blinding me a little.
I was greeted by Vessel, who was smiling at me.
« Good morning, Dahlia. » He said.
« Morning, Vessel. » I said back as I looked around the camp, seeing that everyone was already awake despite it being rather early.
I stayed quiet for a few seconds before a question suddenly came to mind. I decided to ask it now since it would probably be useful to know the answer.
« Hey, is there any way that I could shower, take a bath, or whatever...? » I asked Vessel.
« Yes, of course. There's a waterfall over there. Would you like to go? » Vessel said.
« Would be nice to feel clean again, yeah. » I said.
« Alright. I'll show you where it is. Just wait here for a few seconds. » He said before disappearing into IV's cabin.
I raised an eyebrow, wondering why he went there, but I understood when I saw him come back with a pile of clothes. Of course, nice clean clothes... that belong to IV... but new clothes! I guessed that IV and I probably wore the same clothing size, so I didn't have to worry about them being too small or big for me.
« I got you some clothes to change into. They're IVs, I hope you don't mind. » He said.
« It's okay. » I said.
He then told me to follow him, and we walked towards the woods, probably where the waterfall was. The walk there wasn't as long as I expected it to be, and as soon as we got there, I couldn't help but be in awe of the landscape in front of me. I was brought out of my thoughts as Vessel spoke.
« I'm not looking... you can go in. » He said.
I looked at him and saw that he had his back turned to me and even his hands over the slits of his mask just to make sure. He was respectful... that's great. I looked at the pile of clothes and the towel that Vessel had placed near the shore for when I would be ready to get out.
« Tell me when you're done, alright? » He said.
« Right... I'll tell you. » I said before I stripped and stepped in the water.
I shivered as I stepped inside but soon got used to the cold water. I walked deeper into the lake, letting my body submerge in the water but making sure to keep my head above the water. I occasionally looked back at Vessel just to make sure he wasn't peeking, and he wasn't. Every time I turned around, he still had his back turned to me and wasn't looking.
I took the time to wash my body and hair as well until I felt clean again, and once I was done, I stepped out, grabbing the towel and drying my body before putting on the clothes that IV had lended me... or maybe given me, I wasn't sure. His clothes were slightly baggy on me, but it was fine. They were actually comfortable, yet dressing all in black wasn't exactly something I did on a daily basis. But not gonna lie, black clothes did look good on me.
Once I was ready, I turned back to Vessel while carrying the towel and my dirty clothes that I had taken the time to fold into a pile.
« All good, we can go back. » I said as I now stood next to him.
Vessel turned to look at me, and he seemed to take time to look at me in this new outfit.
« They really fit you. » He said, referring to the clothes.
« Thanks. » I said, feeling like smiling at his compliment, but for some reason not doing it.
We then started walking back to the camp, the walk back there being completely silent but not an uncomfortable silence.
