Chapter 7: Kiri's Seizure and Mother Figure

Lana's POV:

I was sitting with Jake in his Mauri, wrapping his hand from an injury he received from the leather handle on his Tursak. I glanced at him to see him staring at

"What? Do I have something on my face?" I asked him

"Nothing but your beauty" I blushed looking down. He lifted my face and kissed me.

Our kiss was more intense than usual. Soon me and him were laying on the floor of his Mauri. He was about to undo my top when we heard yells. We stood and ran outside to see Neteyem carrying an unconscious Kiri walking inside the Mauri laying her down.

"What happened?!" I asked checking Kiri's pulse.

It was there but it was faint

"She connected to the Tree of Spirts and started having a seizure." Neteyem said with tears in his eyes

"Stay with her, keep her breathing, I'm going to get my mother" I told Jake as he nodded and started to do a weird movement he explained was CPR

I ran to my parents Mauri

"Mother! You are needed at the Sully's Mauri. Kiri connected to the Tree of Spirts and started having a seizure! She's breathing but it's faint!"

My mother's eyes widened for a second before she nodded. Me and her grabbing supplies, going to the Sully's Mauri. We walked in to see sky people with weird tools. My mother looked angry at this and spoke

"I see I am not needed her" I grabbed her arm looking at her softly but sternly

"Mother! She is a child. What if that was me?" I told her. Her eyes softened as she spoke

"Remove these things" She said to Jake as he nodded trying to get them to leave quickly

They nodded but said they had to stay to take a scan. This made me angry. Kiri could die and these people were not helping.

"Leave now! You are doing nothing!" I hissed at them baring my teeth.

They nodded in fear and grabbed their things, running out. I sat by Kiri. My mother started speaking the words of Eywa to heal her as I held Kiri's hand, Tuk sitting on my lap hugging me, Neteyem and Lo'ak tucked into my side, and Jake's arm around my waist.

Soon Kiri woke with a gasp as we hugged her. I looked to my mother nodding in thanks as she nodded her head, looking over us before leaving. I looked back to Kiri to see her crying. I hugged her laying down as she snuggled into me.

"I've got you sweetheart, I'm here" This caused Kiri to hug me tighter.

I looked to the others, opening my arm as they came and laid down. Jake laid behind me, kissing my head.

"Thank you" I looked to Jake, kissing him softly

"It's true I may not have known you guys for long, but you guys are my family." I told them all as they hugged me tight.

3rd Person POV:

That night the Sully's and Lana laid together sleeping peacefully. The Sully kid's feeling like they had a mother and Jake felt like he was in love again. Perhaps even more than he felt with Neytiri.
