Chapter 5: Jealous, Missing, and Kissing

3rd Person POV:

Lana was playing tag with Metkayina children on the shore. A couple hours had passed from the moment Lana had with her family earlier in the day and it left her smiling more than usual. Lana tagged another little girl as she chased the others. Lana stood there laughing at the cute scene before hearing another laugh next to her. She looked to see Kanor. He was one the male hunters in the clan who she talked to.

Lana wouldn't call them friends but acquaintances. His mate was a healer in the clan and had helped Ronal when went into labor when she was pregnant with Tyseria and Lana, Tonowari, and Aonung were hunting. Ever since then Lana would make small talk and be a bit more friendly with the two, thankful they helped her mother when she and her father couldn't be there.

"Hello Lana, you seem happy." Kanor said smiling at the girl

"Yes I am." Lana said thinking about her moment with her family and her talk with Jake

"Does that to do with a certain blue Navi named Jake Sully" Kanor said giving her a playful look

"Oh shush" Lana said, playfully shoving him as they laughed

At that moment Jake had walked around the corner and saw Lana. He was going to say hi when he saw the male navi next to her. He watched as they talked and saw him give her a playful look as she playfully shoved him back. Both of them were laughing. Jake felt his heart tighten at the scene, walking away with a sad frown on his face.

"It's not only him that has been the cause of my happiness."

"So he is one of the reasons"

"Don't judge. You practically drool when Rana (his mate) walks into a room"

Kanor scowled playfully at her. They were brought out of their conversation by Tyseria screaming for Lana

"LANA" Tyseria screamed

Lana turned to her sister, looking her over for injuries

"What is wrong Tyseria?"

"I've been looking for you for the past hour. It's Lo'ak, Aonung left him outside the reef"

"HE DID WHAT?!"

The Navi's nearby all flinched at the angry shout by the oldest daughter of Tonowari. Lana, and Tyseria ran to where Anoung was with their parents and the Sully's. Lana looked at Jake only to see him avoiding eye contact with her. Before she could ask what happened, the horn went off as a Navi announced that Lo'ak had returned. Everyone ran to where the Lo'ak was.

Lo'ak looked at Aonung, walking toward him angrily. Before he could reach him he was stopped by his father. Jake looked over his son before speaking.

"He's ok, he's ok. I apologize for the trouble" Jake said facing Tonowari and Ronal

"No, the fault is my son's" Tonowari said as he moved Aonung to his knees.

"It wasn't his fault. It was mine, he tried to talk me out of it but I wouldn't listen. Honestly."

Lo'ak said as Ronal and Tonowari shared a look, clearly not believing him but letting it go. Everyone left as Lana tried to talk to Jake but before she could he turned to his kids taking them back to his Mauri to scold them for their behavior.

Lana's POV:

I sighed. I don't know why Jake is ignoring me. I went back to my parent's Mauri to eat with my family before I headed out on my own to my Mauri. I finished eating, hugging my parents goodnight and left. Instead of going to my Mauri I walked along the shore of the beach. Stopping once I saw a familiar face. Jake was sitting on the shore watching the waves with a sad look on his face.

"Hey Jake" I told him as he stood immediately.

"Hey Lana, I've gotta go." He said as he tried to walk away. I grabbed his arm, angry and sad.

"No! Why are you ignoring me?" I told him, my ears flopping down

"It's nothing, why don't you just go hang out with Kanor and flirt some more!" Jake said angrily

"What? Me and Kanor were not flirting and besides Kanor has a mate!" I shouted at him

"H-he does?" Jake asked shocked

"Yes! I don't get why you were ignoring me though" I said confused. Was he...jealous?

"I'm sorry Lana. I was just angry and jealous. I saw you guys together and thought..."

Jake trailed off. I knew what he meant though.

"Jake, I do not like Kanor. I have feelings for another" Lana said as Jake looked down sadly.

"Oh, well I wish him the best" Jake said looking heartbroken

I huffed at his skxawng brain and stood on my toes, grabbing the back of his mouth and kissed him.

3rd Person POV:

Jake's eyes widened in shock for a moment before he closed them and kissed back. The kiss was not long or short, sweet or heavy, it was perfect. The perfect first kiss between them. They broke apart, touching their foreheads together.

"The one I like is you, Jake Sully." Lana told him as he looked at her with what she now knew was love.

"I see you" Jake smiled kissing her again before answering

"I see you Lana"

The two Navi's laid for a while, sharing a kiss before going back to their Mauri's. That night two Navi's slept with smiles on their faces and content.

(In another part of ocean)

"Where is Toruk Makto" asked a blue Avatar Navi

When the fake Navi was answered with an empty response he began burning the clan and killing the Navi's before heading back to their station.

"I'm going to find you Jake Sully and I will kill you and your children." The Navi spoke, smiling evilly.
