I was on my way back to Trudy's room, after my latest fiasco with Miles, when I heard what sounded like running from behind. I turned slightly to see Trudy rounding the corner, she pulled me to the side, "We need to go." She didn't say another word, her hand tugging me along.

We stopped in front of the doors to the bay, "Trudy, I'm not allowed out there without authorization."

"Y/n, would you forget the authorization for a minute and put this mask on." Trudy whispered as she shoved the mask into my hands.

My hands shook as I slowly put the mask over my face. I've never heard her sound so anxious, I wonder whats going on? "Trudy what's-"

She cut me off, holding her finger to her lips. "Shhh" she walked through the door, turning to look back to me and whispering "Just follow me and act normal."

"Umm okayy?" My mind still racing with questions, I followed her to the helo. The doors swung open behind us again, Grace ran through first then Norm, who held the door open for Jake. "Wait, what?" I thought they were in the cells?

"Oh my god, come on. We'll explain later." Trudy pulled my arm once again. We just made it to the helo, starting it when the door opened again.

It was Miles. Oh god Miles, where's your mask?

He's shooting at the helo, the other three getting into the back as Trudy and I get in the cockpit. Bullets hit the metal as we took off, stopping once I came into view. The look on his face broke my heart, betrayal, the look I know all too well. Oh no, dont think that, you're getting the wrong idea.

I placed my hand on the glass as he left my sight. Trudy glanced in my direction every few minutes, waiting for me to start asking questions. A sigh left my lips as I turned in my seat to look in the back. Jake and Norm on one side, Grace on the other holding her stomach. "Oh god, Grace?"

~Time skip after Jake gets Toruk Makto Y/n POV~

Trudy and I landed the helo just after Jake arrived, all eyes were on Jake. A few glanced our way before moving back to Jake and Toruk Makto. Holy fuck that thing is huge. Not to mention all of them, that height is intimidating. My eyes widened at the large creature that craned its head to me, looking at me with one eye before snuffing its nose and looking away.

~Time skip to after Mo'at tried to save Grace and Jake made his speech~

"Trudy I need to go back, you guys need more than just one person on your side in there. This place is beautiful and I would hate to see it destroyed, maybe I can talk some sense into Miles. He'll listen to me. Please."

A deep voice interrupted before Trudy could speak "Oh for fucks sake Y/n, do you not hear yourself. You sound fucking delusional, what makes you think he would listen to you about something like this?" Jake was seething with rage, he began to pace. "Just because you two fucked doesn't mean he actually cares, he's just using you."

My eyes widened at his words, stinging with tears. A few of the na'vi gasped, one of the females stepped forward, placing her hand on Jake's shoulder, "Jake, stop this, your words are not necessary."

He took a deep breath, looking back at her before turning to me, "Neytiri's right, I took that too far. I'm sorry, you don't deserve my anger."

My eyes widened, "So this is Neytiri?" Jake nodded, shooting me a questioning look, "It's nice to finally meet you in person. Ive heard quite a lot about you."

"I'm afraid that I can not say the same for you- I don't think I know your name?

"Y/n, I've been a- close friend of Jakes for a long time." My eyes glanced over to his, a tight smile on my face.

Trudy stepped closer to Jake, "Just because you don't like him doesn't mean she cant. I've seen the way he looks at her, he adores her, Jake."

Jake let out a frustrated groan "I just wanted you to see the people. I want you to understand what Im fighting for."

Anger began to rise to the surface once more, I couldn't hold it in anymore. "Yes Jake I see that now, and I'm so fucking happy that you finally found something you love." I paused for a moment, taking in a deep breath, "Jake I have to go back, these people are great. They tried to save Grace when they could have easily turned her away after everything that happened. She made a bond with them, you have a bond with them. I don't." with another pause, I looked at the Toruk. "I understand why you want to help them Jake but I cant stay here and you know it. Take me back and I can help you in every way possible." My e/c eyes now moved to Jake, "Please Jake."

Jake let out a sigh, kneeling down beside me, he looked into my eyes, "Are you sure I cant convince you to stay?" he pleaded, I could hear the shake in his voice. Now of all times he has to act like the dooting husband. Too little, too late. I stood firm in my place, nodding my head.

Jake spoke again, "Okay, then." Turning to face Tsutey "Tsu'tey, can I ask you to take her? Only part of the way, as far as you feel comfortable." Tsutey rolled his eyes, shifting from one leg to the other. "I can't, they'd kill me on sight. Trudy can't, they'd have her in the cells for treason if they don't shoot her out of the sky first."

Trudys voice split the tension "Jake both of those scenarios involve Y/n getting hurt and we both know Quaritch ain't gonna let that happen. He cares about her too much to let anything happen to her."

Tsu'teys eyes moved to Trudy as she finished talking, still deciding what he should do. Finally he nodded looking back to Jake, cupping his hands around his mouth, he made a short call.

I watched as it landed, it was smaller than the one Jake had gotten off. "It's so pretty," Y/n said in awe of the creature. A few chuckles were heard around the group.

"Po lu tsamsiyu, ke sevin" Tsutey spoke in the Navi language, I tilted my head in confusion, glancing at Jake then Norm.

Norm being the first to speak, "Tsu'tey said 'he's a warrior, not pretty'."
