"So, should we tell our friends what happened last night?" Elodie rolls her neck to face Luke, smiling sleepily.
"If you're feeling up to it." He nods.
"I am, and they should know. Plus, someone needs to go take care of Petunia for us." She chuckles, patting the edge of the bed beside her, wincing hard as she tries to shift to the side to give him more space.
"Don't move, I can fit without you hurting yourself more, you need to heal." He stops her quickly, sitting himself down carefully on the small edge of bed available to him.
"Hey," Elodie tickles her fingers over his arm softly, "kiss me first."
"Always." Luke grins, leaning carefully to capture her lips for a moment, smiling as he pulls away, "I love you, you crazy badass superwoman."
"I love you too, Lu." El laughs, "Now call our friends."
"Right." Luke sighs, turning back to his phone, finding the group chat and hitting the FaceTime button so it includes everyone.
"This can't be good." Crystal answers first.
"Luke, what's going on?" Michael answers separately.
"Why are you FaceTiming the whole chat at once?" Calum asks as he and Brandy appear on the screen together.
"This better be important, I just ran to the back to take your call." Brooke answers next.
"It is, we're just waiting for Ash." Luke sighs, grateful when the last square appears with Ashton's face in it.
"Hey guys, what's happening?" Ashton is all grins as he answers.
"We have some news..." Luke runs a hand through his hair yet again.
"Wait, is that a hospital bed?" Brooke's eyes practically bug out.
"Baby girl Hemmings was born last night." Elodie chuckles, "And like anything I do anymore, it was a shit show."
"Are you okay? Is the baby okay? What can we do?" Questions come flying at them.
"I'm okay." Elodie smiles fondly at the screen, "I was in rough shape last night, but the doctors took care of me and our girl and everyone is doing as well as possible, given the circumstances. I haven't met our daughter yet though, and I'm hoping that changes very soon."
"Wait, start from the beginning. We need to know the details here." Brandy frowns.
"No, first tell us her name." Ashton pushes.
"Her name is Atlas, Atlas Blu Hemmings." Luke laughs, "Now that she's here you can know."
"Oh, I love that name, it's perfect." Crystal is beaming as she responds, the others agreeing in their own ways.
"Luke's going to have to tell the story though, considering the fact that I lost consciousness very early on." Elodie sighs, leaning her head onto Luke's shoulder.
"Just, don't interrupt me until I've said it all. That will make it easiest. You can ask questions at the end." Luke grimaces slightly before diving into the story of the night's events. The band stays quiet as he talks, though it's obvious multiple of them have questions as they listen through everything. Finally though, Luke finishes and after a beat everyone starts talking at once.
"Okay, wait, this isn't going to work." Luke laughs, "Crystal, you first." He picks at random.
"What can I do?" She asks quickly.
"Right now, not much. Rebecca is already here and we don't want to overwhelm the hospital when Atlas is in the NICU and I can't move without pain tearing through my stomach. Maybe food runs, or if Luke needs anything from home. We don't have a car here since he came in the ambulance with me. Eventually we will need our car and the car seat, but that could be days or weeks away at this point."
