Dawn of the Nugget

Chapter 6

Once the elevator had arrived at its stop, Ginger and Kali, who was now back to her normal human size, came into a room where Dr. Fry was showing the business man a little presentation. 

The hen and girl snuck over to get a closer look while watching the tv screen. It was revealed to be a video on how chickens were processed and how that Fun Land Farms had recently found a solution to make the chickens' meat even tastier. 

Kali glanced over towards Fry and the business man before she tapped on Ginger's shoulder, pointing out something to the hen. Ginger looked over to what the human girl was pointing at and soon spotted Molly hiding just in front of Dr. Fry and the business men underneath the table. 

"Molly!" The mother hen gasped quietly. 

Kali looked around before getting Ginger's attention again, this time pointing towards a spiral staircase. The girls carefully tiptoed over towards the staircase, trying to get closer to Molly. Poor Molly looked very confused and then shocked while watching the video, learning the terrible truth behind a chicken's purpose to the human race. 

The narrator in the video explained how science could alter a chicken's response to fear, and instead make it happy to be processed as the girls watched the chicken in the video happily jump into the grinder. 

"Okay, that's not how that works" Kali whispered to herself while suddenly getting an upset stomach, feeling the urge to barf. 

"Becuse a happy chicken is a tasty chicken!" The narrator said before the video then ended. 

"Molly" Ginger and Kali both whispered loudly, trying to get the young hen's attention as she was still hiding underneath the table. 

"That's a clever little cartoon, Dr. Fry" The business man admitted before asking. "But will you be able to do it?"

"We already have..." A new yet familiar voice echoed nearby. 

Ginger and Kali's hearts suddenly stopped for a second as they froze together. 

"That voice..." Ginger whispered. 

The girls both peeked out from below the staircase, seeing someone who they never thought they'd ever see again come down the stairs. Someone who made their blood run cold.

Dr. Fry soon stood up, telling the business man. "Allow me to introduce my wife... Melisha Tweedy" 

The woman then stopped at the bottom of the stairs, revealing to be none other than Ginger's former owner and Kali's evil aunt. She appeared nastier than ever this time. And with a completely new look. 

"Welcome... to the future" She declared. 

"No... It can't be" Kali shook her head in disbelief, as her and Ginger's minds both suddenly ran wild with images of Tweedy, remebering what nearly happened to them the last time they encountered her. 

"It's her!" Ginger trembled with fear in her voice. 

The girls quickly hid once Mrs. Tweedy looked around after hearing their voices but didn't see anyone. 

"Darling," Dr. Fry approached his wife, introducing her to the business man. "This is Sir Eat-a-Lot"

The business man with the mustache rolled his eyes, saying. "The name is Reginald Smith. Sir Eat-a-Lot is just the name of the restaurant chain"

Mrs. Tweedy stared coldly at her potential new business partner. "Hello, Reginald"

"I see you've met my current husband, Dr. Fry" She said before explaining how she fell for him, stating it was his genius mind. Although Kali seemed to already know the real reason why her aunt married this guy.
