Just then, everyone felt the silo move slightly then heard a faint whirring soud and noticed the corn kernels slowly moving downward.
"What's going on?" David asked.
"I think there's a grinder at the bottom of this thing!" Teeders said fearfully.
"Oh, God!" Cynthia's eyes widened.
"On the plus side, though, we will all probably drown before we're ground into tiny, wee pieces" Mac commented.
"Oh, yeah, thanks for that Mac. That's very comforting!" Ann rolled her eyes to the Scottish hen.
"We need to get out of here NOW!" Kali said.
"But how?" Brock asked. "In a couple more minutes we're all gonna end up just like our leftovers when we put them through the garbage disposal!"
"Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait" Rocky soon said as he realized what they were standing on, scooping up a handful of corn kernels. "Popcorn. Popcorn, everyone. Look! Look, popcorn!"
"Rocky, I don't think this is the time to..." Ginger told her mate before noticing a ray of sunlight coming in then looked up towards the top of the silo and gasped, realizing. "The answer to all life's problems. Of course!"
"I see what you're thinking there, guys" Teeders smiled to the couple.
"Mac, we need heat" Ginger said.
"Lots of it!" Kali added.
"Oh. Will this work?" Mac asked, taking out what looked to be a small firework from Brock's backpack.
"I told you we'd need that" Brock smirked to the other Akids about his firework.
"Prefect!" Ann smiled before they placed it in the center of the kernel pile.
"Now, does anyone have a match?" Rocky asked.
"Yeah, you and a raving lunatic" Nick told the rooster. "You'll blow us all to bits!"
"I'm with the rat on this" Cynthia said.
"Me too" Nobby added. "We'll die either way!"
"Besides, we've used the last one" Etta frowned, showing the match box to be empty.
"Oh, no" Rocky sighed.
The gang all frowned, knowing they were truly goners now. That is until they noticed the firework had been successfully lit and gasped. Everyone looked over seeing that Molly had found Mac's specs and used them to reflect the sun's rays onto the firework and light it.
Rocky smiled proudly to his daughter. "That's my girl!"
Molly smiled back to her father as the gang was one step closer to freedom.
"Um, can I once again raise my health and safety concerns?" Nick asked nervously.
"I too have a question..." David spoke.
"What's that?" Rocky and the rest of the gang looked to the adventure boy.
"How do we know it's not simply going to straight out explode on us?" He asked.
Just then, the firework launched down into the grinder and everyone heard a rumbling sound that kept growing louder as the kernels started popping into popcorn.
"Mm. That tastes nice" Babs said, eating a piece. "Is there any more?"
Suddenly, all the kernels popped into popcorn as the explosion cause the popcorn to quickly rise with the gang all swirling around in it.
