" You cannot talk to any other boys. You have to keep in mind that you are not single anymore. You are committed now." His words were making me laugh. He was really jealous of my college boys.

" Rudee, stop being possessive. I am just attending the lecture for a month." I said while walking towards the cafeteria with my phone near my ear. Our internship is about to get over and at the same time there are a lot of important lectures to attend. I am also working on a paper. I often come to university these days. When Rudra knew about it he was so jealous to know that the lecture hall is filled by boys. There are only seven girls and that made him worried. The thing which made him act like this is the fact that I am being paired with a handsome boy.  He kept on pestering me for not attending the lecture or even sending me the photographs of the lecture hall.

" I can't help. Still you have to make sure to wear a ring. It will prevent them from having hopes on you." I was speechless after listening to his words.

Is he crazy?

I don't even know why on the earth he is behaving like this.

" What? Mr. Rudra Kapoor, I don't have a ring or in other words we are not yet engaged." I said while ordering a latte at the counter. I searched for a place when my friend waved towards me.

" That's right. We are not yet engaged. That gives me the reason to pester my parents for it." I stopped in my way and my eyes widened.

" What are you saying?"

" I want to get engaged." He is really stubborn. 

" So will you use me now?" I asked while sitting at the chair and he chuckled.

" I never said that." 

" Rudee, stop teasing me, will you?" He chuckled again after hearing me. The waitress kept the coffee on the table and I found my friends Bhavya and Anushka staring at me. They had a teasing grin on their face and I shook my head while looking at them.

" Am I teasing you, baby?" He asked and I again focused on my fiance. 

" I will talk to you later."

" Aren't you in the cafeteria right now? Why are you hanging up?" He asked and I looked at my friends who were already too interested in hearing my conversation.

" I have my friends with me." 

" I too want to have a chat with them." I was shocked. 

How can he say that?

" Bye!" I hung up and then my friends leaned towards me on the table.

" What's going on?" Bhavya asked and I took a sip from my coffee.

" Nothing. " I said while rolling my eyes they suspected something was wrong with me. 

" Are you lying? Did you get a boyfriend? " Bhavya asked and before I could say anything Anushka too bombarded her questions.

" Do we know him? Is he handsome? Is he hotter than Vibhansh ? " They both were really impatient to know the answer. 

Vibhansh  is the dream boy of our college. Every girl wants to be his girlfriend. They all follow his social media accounts and even send messages but he never replies. Most of the time, the class is filled only because Vibhansh  comes to the class. If he doesn't come, the whole hall will be empty. So the summary of the story is that girls attend lectures only to have a glance of him and boys attend to have a glance at the girls they are having a crush on.

Crazy, right!

Well this is the case at our university.

The people who are not interested in Vibhansh  and any other people are doing internships at different places and I am one among them.

" Come on, give us a hint." Anushka said and I grinned at her.

" He is my fiance." I said and their eyes widened as if they saw a ghost, the jaw almost hit the floor.

" Close your mouth girls." I said while making them close their mouths.

" Fiance?" They both asked in unison and I forced a smile at them.

" When did that happen?" Bhavya asked and I got up from the table.

" It's time for the next lecture. I think we should move towards the academic building." I said and they gathered their things and followed me.

" Hey, you cannot escape. You have to let us know everything." They said and I laughed at them while walking.

At night

After throwing my bag on the couch, I headed towards the bathroom. I got fresh and up and headed towards the kitchen. I took out my phone and dialed his number.

" I thought you won't call tonight." He picked up at the third ring and said instantly. 

" Really? Then should I hang up?" I asked while taking out the vegetables from the fridge.

" I didn't say that.  Ouch!" He said and suddenly I heard his shriek.

" What happened? Are you alright?" I asked while stopping all my other work. He didn't respond for a couple of minutes and my breath stuck in my throat.

" Rudra, are you okay? Is there something wrong? Can you hear me?" I asked but there was no response. The call was still ongoing.

Please Rudra, say something.

I was saying in my mind when I heard some shuffling.

" Shridha, are you there?" It felt that the blockage in my throat cleared and I could finally breathe now.

" Rudee, are you okay?" I didn't realize till then that I was crying. My voice was almost inaudible while my cheeks were wet. I sniffled and tried to wipe the tears off my cheeks.

" I am alright, my princess. Are you crying?" He asked and his voice felt normal.

" No" I intentionally lied.

" I heard your sobbing. I don't know why but it doesn't feel good to know that you are crying. I should be happy to know that someone out there, maybe a couple of thousand kilometers away, cares for me, but Shridha I am not happy." I took a deep breath after hearing him. I wiped my face and then leaned against the counter.

" I am not crying. I was just worried. Why did you suddenly stop talking?" I kept my worry and he took a pause for a brief second.

" I accidentally caught my hand in the door but I am alright." He assured me to keep me from worrying but he can help.

" Hmm. Take care of yourself please." I said in a low voice and we both stayed quiet for a moment.

" Did you want to say something?_ he broke the silence and I remembered the reason why I called him.

" Umm... Yes. I wanted to inform you that I won't be able to call or text you for the next twenty days. I have my exams coming up and I will be fully busy." I said and he hummed in response.

" Update me on your schedule, so that I will figure out the time for a ten minute chat." He said and I smiled. I didn't expect him to go with the flow. 

" Do you think you will also be free when I will?" 

" Even if I won't. I will cancel the other works. Don't ask anything else. Just have your supper and go to bed." He instructed and I was grinning at him. 

Thank God he is not here. Otherwise he would be confused to find me grinning like this.

" Okay Good night!"
