Rudra's pov...
" No dad, I already spoke to you about it. Let him study. He is not yet ready." I said and I could hear my father exhaling a breath on the other side of the phone call.
" Nobody is ever ready to participate in a business. One has to learn through gaining experience. Don't side him every time. " His words seemed like a warning and I rolled my eyes.
" He is in his early twenties. He just graduated. What do you expect from him?" I asked while motioning my assistant to bring my coffee and right at the time Vikram entered.
" What do I expect, that's what you asked? What can a father expect from his sons? You didn't care about SGI and opened a new firm and that's okay with me as you are doing beyond my expectations but what about SGI. Do you brothers want to sell it off after my death? I know either it will be dissolved or amalgamated that's it." He said I shook my head as Vikram took the seat understanding the seriousness of the phone call.
" What are you talking about? There is no such thing happening."
" I sometimes feel that Shridha is doing far much better than you both. What's her age again? Rudransh, she is also in her early twenties but achieved more than her father could achieve in the finance sector. She is also the age where she could relax and take her time to realize what excites her more but she chose to build her profession instead. " He said and the way the topic drifted from Shiv to Shridha confused me.
It was my father's call the other day when Shridha walked away without giving me a chance to explain. I wish I could hang up on my dad but that's not possible.
" Why are you bringing her up? How is she related to Shiv or the work?"
" You should have attended the seminar conducted in Mumbai. I was there. I heard the way she kept her point on every issue. None of her words offended anyone but her words did leave an impact. If it were in my hands, I would have hired her as Chief Financial Officer despite the disagreement of the board." His words shocked me. I didn't know that he admired Shridha in this way.
" You already knew this, dad. Weren't you? You proposed the time to get her in the SGI." I said and for a brief moment he was silent.
" When are you coming here?" He asked rather than answering my question.
" To Delhi?"
" Yes."
" During my engagement, I guess."
" I want you here by tomorrow at any cost. It's better to celebrate the new year with your family." He said before hanging up the phone and I sighed.
" That was a long call." Vikram commented when I kept the phone on the table.
" You know my father. If he decides on something, he does it." I said and he smirked.
" What about your wife? What was he talking about?"
" He wants her as a part of SGI. "
" Damn, that sounds like an offer." He said and I glared at him.
" No offense dude but who wouldn't like to work for Saubhagya Group of Industries." He said as if stating a fact and I threw a paper clip at him.
" Oh, that can get in my eyes Mr. Kapoor." He said, faking his childish voice and I rolled my eyes.
" Vikram, I am already pissed off so you don't get started."
" Why? Aren't you able to contact Shridha yet?" He said and it was a fact this time.
