His Arranged Wife

Feeling

" The sun is about to set." He said and I hummed in response. We were sitting on the grass enjoying the evening. The sun was about to set and this was the reason he brought me here. He wanted to see the sunset with me. The colorful lights on the horizon and the beautiful wind caressing us made it feel like heaven. The sight was indescribable. It felt like after walking for miles the traveler had finally found his destination. 

The weather of Bangalore is always my favorite one. The soft wind and little chirping of the birds. The colorful sky, mostly orange and refreshing. The calmness and peace in nature were holding us together. My eyes were on him and he was on the horizon.

When did this happen?

I don't know. It is the first time when I am trusting someone so easily and quickly. It feels like a dream and I never want to come out of it. A small smile playing on his lips made my lips curl into a smile too. I didn't know how long I stared at him with so many thoughts in my mind. He looked at me and raised his brows while touching his face which made me laugh and shake my head .

" Is there something on my face?" He asked and I shaked my head .

" Then why are you staring at me like that?" He asked while smiling and looking in my eyes. I didn't say anything and turned my head to see the beautiful sight in front of my eyes. It was breathtaking. 

Why would I tell you that I like watching you, observing you and adoring you!

I said in my mind and smiled.

" Hmm, This is for you." He said and I turned my head towards him to find him holding a box which seemed like a jewelry box.

" What is this?" I asked and he smiled at me.

" Have a look." He passed me the box and I bit my lips. I didn't know whether I should accept this or not. He is always so supportive of me. Although it's been such a short time since we've known each other, the affection between us is growing much faster than what I expected. I am not very good at expressing my feelings. I find it the most difficult situation when you have let the words come out of your heart through your mouth. I have never been very expressive. I feel like I have never done anything for him or maybe I can never do something equally.

Why does he care for me so much?

" Open it." He reminded me and I nodded my head lifting the upper case softly and my heart ached at the glance of it. It was a beautiful silver chain with a star pendant. It was so stunning that I couldn't take my eyes off it. My eyes got filled with tears and I looked up at him.

" I cannot accept this." I whispered and he cupped my cheeks in his hands.

" Don't you like them?" He asked, being stressed and I shook my head.

" No, it's really beautiful but..." He didn't let me complete and took out the chain from the case. 

" Let me help you." He whispered and latched the chain to my neck. 

" Beautiful." He whispered and kissed me on my forehead and I just looked at him.

" Didn't you complain that we are not yet engaged? So we are tied to each other now. Consider it as a promise." He said and I smiled at him while wiping my tears.

" You are unbelievable. I didn't mean that." I said and he chuckled. 

" I know." We both turned our heads towards the sun watching it hiding behind the clouds. It was the most beautiful sunset till now. It might be because of him beside me. I wish to watch every sunset with him.
