AYUSHI'S P.O.V

I glance around the room, noticing Aryan's silent gaze. As I sit up, clutching my pillow, my eyes land on my clothes... Wait, these aren't mine. Who changed me into this shirt?

I keep my blanket close, aware of my lack of clothing. Who dressed me in this t-shirt? How did I end up here? I was at Ananya's place. Did they bring me back here? This can't be happening.

"Didi, I don't know what you did, but both mom and dad are furious with you. I'm off to school." Aryan said before grabbing his bag and leaving the room.

I rush to the bathroom to freshen up.

After getting ready, I step out of my room. Whatever happened last night is done, I can't change it. I need to face the consequences now.

I slowly make my way to the dining table. Mom and dad must be there for breakfast.

Entering the kitchen, I see mom cleaning and dad sitting silently, both of them unusually quiet.

"Good morning," I greeted them. Mom looks up, but dad doesn't even acknowledge me, focused on the news.

"Where were you last night?" Dad's voice cuts through the silence, his angry eyes fixed on me.

"At the club," I lie.

He chuckles, glancing at mom. She avoids his gaze, she leaves the kitchen leaving me alone with dad.

Why did she leave us alone in this mess? Her presence always brings comfort, even in tough times.

"Can you call mom back?" I ask, but dad gestures for me to sit in front of him. I hesitate.

"Why should I call her? So she can get more upset? Ayushi, drinking and lying, then lying again. Sit here first." he commands, but I shake my head, tears welling up in my eyes.

"Don't let those tears fall. Why did you even drink? Who offered you alcohol?" he questions.

"The bartender," I lie again, mom comes and places a glass of water in front of me.

"Drink this," she says softly, leaving me to face dad alone again.

"stop lying," Dad said making me fidget with my fingers. Did Ananya spilled the beans about the party to Mom and Dad?

"I'm not lying," I whispered, attempting to push my chair backwards but it remained firmly in place.

Dad stood up from his chair and sat in front of me.

"Drink it," he muttered, passing me the glass that Mom had placed on the table for me.

I gulped down the lemon water in one go.

"Now tell me the truth. Where were you last night?"

"At the club," I replied, bracing myself as he raised his hand, but he stopped midway and clenched his fist. I instinctively moved back a little.

"Ayushi, tell the truth."

"I'm not lying," I insisted. This time, he brought his palm down on my shoulder.

I immediately stood up. His hand wouldn't take long to reach my cheeks.

"I need to use the washroom," I said, and right before his eyes, I ran out of the house. He didn't even try to stop me; maybe he already knew where I was going.

Impatiently, I knocked on Daksh Chachu's door.

Roshni Chachi opened the door, but before she could say anything, I entered her house and started searching for my savior.
