RIHAAN'S P.O.V
" Don't you think they come to honeymoon every month. " Ayushi said after her sister left with her husband in a car which come to pick them up.
I keep quiet, not wanting to respond to her silly question. I reached into my bag and pulled out a cap for Ayushi, who had a fever when we arrived at the airport. I saw how uncomfortable she was sitting.
"You're not going to wear this silly cap. Rihaan, it's not that cold and you won't look good," she said, eyeing the cap I was holding. I pulled her in front of me and made her wear the cap, which covered her ears and head properly.
"Don't catch a cold. It's snowing everywhere and you're telling me it's not that cold? Let's go to our hotel now. We'll have a beautiful view from the window," I mumbled.
Soon we reached the hotel. After getting the key to my room, we headed to our room.
The whole time, Ayushi didn't look very happy. Why is she upset? She should be happy, right?
"Something happened?" I asked as she put her hand on her stomach with a pout on her face.
"I think I'm getting cramps," she whispered softly. I held her hand and led us towards the room.
"Go check in the washroom," I mumbled and laid down. She lazily walked towards the washroom. Tired, I closed my eyes for a few minutes, but opened them as soon as I heard her opening the sliding door of the bathroom.
I raised my eyebrows in a questioning manner. I didn't want her to start her period here. I knew she would be in pain and would only be resting. I wanted to enjoy with her. I also wanted to propose to her. I didn't want her to reject me because of her mood swings.
She shook her head and happily jumped on the bed.
"Are we going to share a room?" she asked in clear excitement. I nodded my head slightly, which made her jump again. She wrapped her arm around me and started jumping.
"Why are you so happy?" I asked already knowing the answer.
"I'm happy because I can't sleep alone and we should let other people take the room. We're childhood friends. We don't need two rooms," she said nervously.
I suppress a grin at her nervousness. Our second kiss will definitely stick in your memory. I will make sure of it.
She announced, "I'm going to take a shower." I simply nodded, holding back my urge to ask if I should join her. I didn't want to give her a heart attack.
As she disappeared into the bathroom and slid the door shut, I noticed there is no permanent lock on the bathroom door.
Hearing the sound of the shower, I took out my phone to start preparing everything. Despite her tomboyish demeanor, I knew deep down she wanted a girly proposal. I had seen it in a saved video on her phone, so I planned to do something similar.
AYUSHI'S P.O.V
Stepping under the shower, I let the water flow over me. My stomach is cramping badly. I don't want my period now. I came here to have fun. Why did this have to happen? If I tell him the truth, he won't be able to enjoy himself.
I quickly turned off the shower and got dressed. After searching for a while, I finally found a pack of tampons.
After inserting one, I adjusted my clothes and sat at the table with my eyes closed. I felt so down.
I definitely needed to take a painkiller.
Slowly sliding the door open with a forced smile, I noticed Rihaan quickly turning his phone towards himself. Was he talking to someone? He have a girlfriend? But if he did, he wouldn't have come with me... right?
"I've ordered food for us. We'll have lunch and then explore some nearby places," he said before entering the bathroom himself.
I rummage through my bag for painkillers. His mom mentioned taking them for extreme pain, and I definitely don't want to be in agony.
I decided to take two pills, even though I can't remember if she said one or two. Better safe than sorry, right?
He emerges from the bathroom looking all refreshed and dapper.
Our lunch arrives shortly after. We eat in quiet contentment, but my stomach is still aching.
"Ready to go?" he inquires. I nod eagerly, and we headed out of our hotel room.
