RIHAAN'S P.O.V
Aryan whispered softly, "I apologize." while gazing down.
"Do you think this is how you apologize?" Sir asked sternly. Aryan immediately held his ears. Now, I do need a private room. I never expected something like this to happen. Aryan is feeling embarrassed.
"It's alright, sir. There's no need to apologize. Recognizing his mistake is sufficient," I said, but sir shook his head.
"You know what's wrong with my children. They never admit their mistakes. They always think they are right. In his eyes, hitting someone was justified, and you know why because he wants to be a mafia man.," Sir said, and he slapped Aryan, causing him to stumble. I quickly reached out my hand to prevent him from falling.
This child is going to hate me. And I don't want that. He once again held his ear while looking down.
"I'm sorry," he said, removing his hand from his ear.
"I let my anger get the best of me and did something I shouldn't have. I won't do it again," he said. I nodded, but Aryan continued to avoid eye contact.
"I'd like to speak with him alone," I said, looking at his parents.
"Go ahead, but he's not off the hook yet," Sir said before leaving the room. Ayushi glanced at me with a pout. I knew she wanted to stay, so I allowed her to remain. She quietly cover the area around my bed.
I pulled Aryan closer to me. He kept his gaze down, refusing to meet my eyes.
"Look up, Aryan," I said gently, but he shook his head. His eyes remained fixed on my knees.
"It's okay. You need to be stronger to actually break my legs," I said with a chuckle. He lowered his head even further. I placed my finger under his chin and lifted his face to meet mine, but he still avoided eye contact.
"Look at me," I commanded. He reluctantly complied, his teary eyes revealing how much he had cried.
"Did sir really use his belt?" I asked, silently praying that it wasn't true. When he nodded slowly, I pulled him into a hug.
"It must have been painful. I'm truly sorry," I said, rubbing his back. He stayed in my embrace. I glanced at Ayushi, who was watching us with a pout.
"Show me where to apply the cream. Dad won't do it. He's too upset to do anything. He won't even let mom do it," Ayushi said, displaying the ointment.
"Show us," I whispered, but he shook his head.
"I'm sorry... I know you're a good person... I'm really sorry... I got scared when the police came to the house. I thought they would take me away with them. I'm so sorry."
"I'm sorry you had to go through this. Sweetheart, you understand that what you did was wrong, right? You can't hurt someone like that," I said, and he nodded, snuggling into my chest.
"Don't call dad. He's still upset," he said in a tearful voice.
I continued to rub his back gently.
"Are you angry, didi?" he asked cutely. Ayushi nodded and went to his side.
"Now, tell me where I need to apply this ointment," she said softly.
He shrugged his shoulders.
"I don't know where I have marks. Dad stripped me down before using that awful object. But I'm sure my butt is in bad shape. It hurts the most," he said, and the way he said it made him look even cuter.
"I'm sorry about that," I said, kissing his forehead.
Without waiting for his permission, Ayushi removed his lower garment.
He immediately whined, but a stern look from both of us made him stop.
"Aren't you angry that I hit you?" he asked. I nodded.
I am angry with him, there was no doubt. He should have talked to me if he was being protective. He couldn't attack me like that. He even hit my head and injured my legs, how could I not be angry?
Ayushi silently applied cream to his buttocks and thighs. I looked at his back, and I was relieved to see that there were no serious red marks. There were red marks, but they didn't seem serious, indicating that the force used wasn't excessive.
"Finished?" Aryan asked. Ayushi just pulled up his pants and returned to her chair.
"Why do you enjoy hurting others?" I asked. He shrugged his shoulders.
"I just feel so angry that I want to harm the person who causes trouble for us," he said, absentmindedly making circles on the bedsheets.
His anger issues are worrying me. If he continues like this, his threats might become reality. He might actually end up putting someone in the hospital again.
The curtain was pulled back once more. Sir took a seat while ma'am stood there looking lost. I could tell she was upset because of Aryan, Ayushi, and me. I never intended to hurt her. She's such a kind person. How did we end up causing harm to her just for some pleasure?
"Stand there," Sir said to Aryan. Aryan silently obeyed his father's command.
"Dad, I promise I'll never hurt anyone again," Aryan said, tears welling up in his eyes.
"Assume the murga position," Ayaan sir ordered. I get shocked. He isn't serious right? We are in a general ward. There are other patients around. Doctors would be making their rounds, and there are no closed door. Nurses kept coming in to check on patients. Has sir lost his mind? I was the one who was getting hot-headed, not him.
