" Are you making coffee for me? " Ayushi asked as she wrapped her arm around him from behind. He responded with a smile and turned to kiss her on the lips.
"Please dress appropriately. If you continue to wear my shirt, I might find you in my bedroom," he whispered as he placed her on the counter.
They resumed kissing, with his hand slipping inside her shirt. At that moment, their parents, along with Ayushi's parents, entered the room.
Navika glanced at Ayaan and Aashika, then discreetly pinched her husband's arm, communicating with him through eye contact.
Akash pushed the flower vase off the table, causing Rihaan and Ayushi to stop kissing and look at their parents.
"Dad," Rihaan said, setting Ayushi down. She hid behind him due to her lack of clothing.
Aashika squeezed Ayaan's hand and whispered, "We will talk to her," but Ayaan pulled his hand away.
"Ayushi, go change your clothes," Aashika instructed. Akash turned to Ayaan, whose eyes were filled with anger.
"Ayaan," he began, but Ayaan raised his head, silencing Akash.
Ayushi glanced nervously at her parents, then turned to Rihaan. "Go change," he whispered. Ayushi started going towards the room but stopped upon hearing her father's sarcastic laughter.
"She doesn't understand our words. When you told her to change, she hid behind Rihaan. But when he said the same thing, she started walking to the room," her father remarked.
Ayushi looked down, fidgeting with her fingers nervously.
"Ayaan, please calm down," Aashika pleaded.
"What do you mean calm down? We raised her with love, only for her to disregard our words," Ayaan shouted at Aashika. She held his hand, giving him a pleading look.
" She is not a kid....
" Yes she isn't a kid. It's all your fault. When I told you to tell her to stop kissing in Rihaan's office then what did you tell me. You told me Ayushi isn't a kid. They are dating I should accept it. Now she is sleeping with him. She isn't even married nor are they engaged. Now what? I'm not a modern parent My thinking is backward. It was your words Aashika. Now what? " Ayaan said angrily. He makes a fist of his hand.
Aaksh walks towards Rihaan and a slap sound echoes in the room.
Rihaan's face slightly turned composing himself, he looked down.
" What is this? Is this what we have taught you? "
" Please stop, Aaksh, let Rihaan give her order so she can finally change her clothes. I don't want to fucking discuss about her report. Let her be in pain. I don't fucking care. " Ayaan said and held Aashika's wrists. Aashika freed her hand and hugged him.
" Calm down...
" Aashika, are you coming home or not?"
" Let's discuss first. You come here to discuss Ayushi's report right. You yourself told me it's important for Ayushi. Let's discuss please. " She said instead of listening to her he moved out of the house.
" Ayushi, wear your dress. " Aashika said not following Ayaan outside.
Ayushi immediately comes out wearing her clothes.
She follows behind her mother. And without exchange of word they left for their house
Since Ayaan had already left they took a cab to reach home.
" Go to your room and take a shower. " Aashika ordered in a cold voice.
After waiting for half an hour Aashika entered Ayushi's room.
Ayushi looked up from her phone feeling her mother's presence.
" Give me your phone. " Aashika said and forwarded her hand. Ayushi handed over her phone.
" It was your first time? Or have you broken our trust before too? "
Ayushi stayed quiet while looking down.
" I'm asking you something? "
" First... "
" Why? " Aashika asked, herself feeling hurt.
"We just went with the flow," Ayushi answered quietly.
Aashika nodded and returned Ayushi's phone.
"Right... I should stop babying all of you. Your dad is right. It's me who has given you all the courage to skip classes, argue with me, stay at a friend's place, lie to our faces, have sex before marriage, and break our trust," Aashika said before leaving the room. Ayushi glanced at the closed door and then at her phone. She messaged Rihaan and lay down, knowing he wouldn't reply right away.

In the evening, Ayushi finally emerged from her room after mustering up a lot of courage.
"Didi, here you are. Mom said to give you this pill. Are you sick?" Aryan asked Ayushi, who looked down at her hand, finding morning pills. She blinked back tears and threw them in the dustbin.
"Even Mom and Dad know it's not easy for me to get pregnant due to PCOD, so why did they buy this? Just to make me realize what I did was wrong? It wasn't wrong. I love him, and he loves me too," Ayushi thought as she took her seat at the kitchen dining table like every day.
Aashika stopped cutting vegetables and looked at Ayushi. Ayushi lowered her head and focused on cooking.
At night, everyone took their seats. Ayaan grabbed his plate and went to his room, ignoring everyone's presence.
"Mom, why is Dad angry with you?" Ayushi asked. Aashika looked at her angrily.
"Because i argue with him to give you all freedom. To let you do whatever you want. We gave you all freedom so you could do all this?"
"You never actually gave me freedom. Both you and Dad just keep imposing restrictions. I love him, Mom. You and Dad love each other too. If it's a normal act between you two, then why not between us?" Ayushi shouted, finally fed up with the silent treatment.
Her face turned to the other side. She placed her palm on her cheek and looked at her mother.
"Yes, now do this. I've never seen my friend's parents slap her or make her do sit-ups. They are understanding, unlike you both. I wish to have parents like them. I don't want you two . Why just keep imposing restrictions. Do this do that . Don't go to club. Don't attend party. Don't talk with that girl. Don't eat this or that. Why can't I live my life like how I want. When will you let me be free from your unwanted shadow. "
Aashika again rise her hand but Ayushi hold it.
" I'M NOT FUCKING KID. STOP RISING YOUR HAND AGAIN AND AGAIN. "
