→ Chapter 8

Teju’s pov

How can I possibly thank this man.. no one has ever taken a stand for me like he does.. he has a heart of gold.. tia had already fallen asleep.. but i needed to go home.. karan entered the guest room..

“Aap mujhe ghr drop kr do please.. tia so chuki hai.. mera bhi kal office hai..” i said to him and he nodded..

i packed tia’s stuff in the bag and turned around to see Karan sitting beside tia.. caressing her hair..

“chalein?” He nodded and got up.. he picked tia up in his arms and we went down.. i bid his parents bye and left for my place..

“thank you karan.. aap seriously bhut acche ho.. i don't know main kbhi aapko itna khush rkh paungi..” he shook his head

“Tejaswi please stop worrying about the future.. we’ll figure it out baad mein..” he said and i nodded

“btw.. you know shaadi ki kya date nikli hai..” he asked and i nodded

“Is Wednesday ki.. it’s already Friday today.. pta ni sab kaise hoga..” i said and he nodded

“Ho hi jayega..” he said and i shrugged

“Sunday ko engagement bhi hai..” i snapped my head in his direction

“Yeh kab decide hua.” I asked and he shrugged

“pata nahi.. mujhe bs btaya gya hai..” he answered and i sighed and nodded

We reached home and i went upstairs after bidding him bye.. i made tia sleep in her room and then came downstairs.

“Sunday ko engagement.. kisi ne mujhe bataya bhi nhi.. no shopping.. No preparation.. nothing!” I asked mom and unnati..

“teju.. humne sab sort kr liya hai.. teri dress guest room mein hai.. just go and try..” unnati said and i shook my head..

i went to the guest room and saw the dress.. it seemed magical.. i think it’s time for me to be happy.. i took a deep breath and then tried on the dress.. it was just wow.. i was twirling in the dress when unnati entered..

“Woww teju.. you look so beautiful..” she hugged me and i hugged her back
“i am gonna miss you..”

“I’m gonna miss you too..” i said and i really was gonna miss her a lot !!!

Karan’s pov

It's Sunday already.. engagement was in the evening.. i was sitting in my room when two monsters came in.. the monsters were yaamna.. my sister.. and sanket.. my best friend..

“Bhaiya not fair.. aapne mere se pooche bina meri bhabhi choose kr li..” yaamna said.. such a drama queen

“Tu ek baar apni bhabhi ko dekh toh le.. bs dekhti hi reh jayegi..” mom said entering the room with snacks for both of them

“Voh toh obvious hai aunty.. karan ne itne kam time mein shaadi ke liye haan kr di.. toh kuch toh baat hogi usmein..” sanket said smirking at me

“Kuch  baat usmein toh hai hi.. plus uski beti itni pyaari hai..” yaamna and sanket cut her off

“Beti ?” Both asked at the same time

“Guys before you make any assumptions.. let me tell you poori baat kya hai..” i said and i told them
everything from the beginning.. including the fact that tia wasn’t Tejasswi's real daughter..

“tanzeel deserved that slap !” Yaamna said and sanket nodded..

“Chalo good thing.. aunty ko dadi bn ne ke liye qait ni krna pdega..” sanket said and i rolled my eyes while mom and yaamna laughed

It was evening and we had already reached the venue.. after sometime.. Tejasswi’s mom came with tia on the stage..

“Hi tia..” i bent down to be on her level.. tia hugged me and picked her up..

“Hello aunty.. meri hone wali bhabhi kahan hai ?” Yaamna asked

“Voh bs unnati ke saath aa hi rhi hai..” she said

“OH MY GOD..” sanket said and we looked in the direction he was looking

“Mom ne bilkul shi kaha tha.. she is so beautiful” yaamna said excitedly.. it was ashi entering the hall.. she looked so beautiful.. her dress is simple yet  so pretty.. she came beside me..

And was bombarded with yaamna and sanket while i was playing with tia..

Soon we were asked to exchange engagement rings and this is how we were now actually in a real relationship!! We were bound together..
