→ Chapter 16

Karan ’s pov

I came back home at around 11 today.. i had back to back meetings.. and then one of my clients had a birthday so i had to stay there.. thankfully i had messaged Tejasswi  and mom about the situation.. i was going in my room when i saw mom in the kitchen..

“Maa aap soye nhi..” i asked

“Bas paani peene uthi thi.. accha sun.. dinner kr le.. aur Tejasswi  ko bhi kara dena..”

“Usne dinner ni kiya ?” I asked and she shook her head

“aaj jab aai thi tb bhut thaki hui lg rhi thi..but still usne dinner bnvaya…dinner bnva ke usne kaha ki voh jab tu aayega tb hi kha legi..” godd this girl is actually making me crazy.. for her..

“Vaaahhh..” chachi entered

“use itna maharaniyon ki tarah rkha ja rha hai.. madam araam kr rhi hain.. koi disturb na krein unhe.. subah bhi breakup mein no help.. aur ab itna..”

“Enough chachi..” i yelled

“enough.. iske baad aapne ek word aur bola.. toh main chachu ko bta dunga.. uske baad ke consequences aap smjh skte ho..meri biwi ke baare m bolne ka koi haq nhi hai aapko.. aapko lgta hai saara din araam krti hai.. kal hum dono thake hue the.. subah meri meeting thi.. mujhe files poori krni thi.. kaam krte krte main so gya.. pr subah 6:30 bje kk jaag ke usne mera kam poora kiya hai.. so just stop saying ki voh bs enjoy kr rhi hai..” i told her angrily

“maa.. m bahar kha ke aaya hun.. uske liye dinner de do.. agar jaagi hui hogi toh khila dunga..” i said and mom gave me food for her..

i went to my room and saw Tejasswi  was already asleep.. i kept the food on the table and went to get freshened up.. i came out and lied on the bed.. i turned my face towards Tejasswi .. she looked so beautiful.. the moonlight on her face was making it even more ethereal.. i tucked her hair behind her hair and caressed her cheeks.. i kissed her forehead and then I don’t know when i fell asleep..


Tejasswi ’s pov

Next few days were spent in a jiffy.. with karan and tia.. I never felt that time mattered.. all that mattered was their presence.. i truly felt blessed by karan’s presence in my life..

We had back to back meetings today.. I didn’t get the time to call at home at all.. but I received karan ’s call two three times to which i replied saying that I had a shit load of work today.. it was already 8 in the night and i was already tired and i still had a meeting to attend.. i was preparing for it when my phone rung again.. this time i picked it up..

“Hello..” i said

“Thank god u picked up the phone.. khn pe ho ?” He asked

“Office mein hi hun.. i still have a meeting to attend.. maine maa ko already phone krke bta diya.. I thought aapko ghr ka ke pta chl hi jayega.. tia se bhi baat krli.. I’ll be late today..” i said holding my head

“And how are you planning to come.. i am seriously not letting you come in the cab at night..” he said firmly

“Toh aur kaise aaungi main..” i asked

“Uhh.. main aa rha hun..”

“But i m not done yet..” i said again

“I know.. I’ll wait..” he said and i sighed

“You sure ?” I asked

“Ofcourse Tejasswi .. I can’t let you come alone.. voh bhi aadhi raat ko.. when you’re hella tired and not in a state to be 100% safe..” he said and i smiled to myself

“Okay..” i said and ended the call.. after 15 minutes he entered the cabin without knocking and kept the takeouts on the table.. I looked at him and got up.. i rested my head on his chest and he wrapped me in his arms.. he caressed my hair

“Chalo.. khaana khaate hain..” he said and made me sit on the chair and he sat on the other one

“Aapko kaise pta maine khana nhi khaya hai..” i asked as i took the takeout

“Obvious.. back to back meetings mein busy ho jayegi.. toh dinner thodi na yaad rhega madam ko..” he taunted and i looked away
“btw.. lunch kiya tha..” i looked at him with sheepish eyes and he sighed

“seriously Tejasswi ?” He again taunted

“Accha sorry na.. abhi khate hain na..” i said and we ate our food with him taunting me again and again
