Chapter 9- Happy Birthday to me!

I woke on the couch in Cassidy's living room. I yawn taking of the covers, still in the clothes from last night. Then I remembered the man! What if he is still out there? A bunch of other questions filled my head. No forest today is your birthday! You need to forget about your problems and have a good- my thoughts were interrupted by Cassidy holding a cupcake and singing The " happy birthday song". " thanks Cassidy, but you didn't have to do this," I said thankfully. " of course I did, it's your birthday and your turning 16!!!" she squealed. I laughed and she made me a really good breakfast of eggs and toast. after I was done eating, I apologized and said I had to go er...home. I hugged her and said goodbye then set off running towards the woods. When I got there Scar, Jay,and almost the whole wolf pack was there in wolf form. I turned into my wolf form and sat next to Jay. Scar began " one of our pack mates has turned 16," he said "according to pack law this means she," he paused " will choose her mate. Let the moon goddess guide her disicion , forest you may begin," I stepped up in front of Scar and saw every guy line up in front of me. I touched noses with the first one," no" I said, he shrugged and walked away. After half the line was denied, Jay came up. We touch noses and time slowed like we were the only wolves on earth. Then we turned into our human forms and he kissed me, I heard a soft singing but didn't pay much attention. when we pulled away from each other. I looked at Scar he seemed very pleased. "it's you" I say stupidly. "it's me" he replies smiling. Everyone howled to celebrate ,We turned into our wolf forms and went to his den. I sniffed around and patted the floor with my paw. "not much but this is your new home" he said walking in. "it's nice small, cozy I like it." I replied. I layers down in a corner to relax for a second, then I got up abruptly. He immediately noticed "everything alright?" He asked Concerned. "yeah I just need to go back t o Cassidy's I forgot something. "ok" he said as I walked out. I turned into my human form and ran there. When I got there it was dead silent. I walked in, " hello?" I asked. Then out of nowhere 4 people jump up screaming surprise . I see one of them flip on the light switch. Then in front of me is a huge cake with my name on it, I looked around and there are streamers everywhere and balloons. " Cassidy did you do this I said noticing it was her by the light switch. " well I had help she said pointing to Spencer, and her parents.I laughed and cut myself a piece of cake. we watched movies,played games,and ate...a LOT. When the party was over at 8:00 pm, I thanked everyone and walked to my new home. I turned into my wolf form walked into my new den,curled up in a corner and fell asleep.

I was running from these two men with guns, i start to run out of breath. but they won't stop they shot a bullet straight past my ear .then I feel a siring hit me leg. When I fall my parents are there in front of me as I black out I hear there horrible laughter echo in my ears.
