(Liam's PoV)We were at the dining table and Aleksei's parents wouldn't stop staring, had they noticed anything? Could they tell that I dreamed of their son in impure ways.
They had asked me a few questions and were taken back at how Aleksei and I stood in such contrast to each other.
"I'm glad Aleksei has at least one sensible friend." His father said as he forked a stray piece of carrot.
I chuckled softly and Aleksei felt the need to defend his friends, "hey! My friends are well sensible."
His father simply shook his head before his mother spoke up, "speaking of, how come you didn't bring that lovely boy...Archie is it?"
"Alfie, mum. His name is Alfie."
"Ah yes! He's such a sweetheart."
Aleksei turned to face me, "he compliments her on everything he lays eyes on in here," he motioned around the house, "obviously he's only joking but my mother likes to think otherwise."
I tried not to chuckle at his poor mums expense but it all seemed too cute, how close he was to his parents, how easy it was for him to talk to them and how interested they seemed in his daily life and friends.
A sad smile took over my face as I continued to eat my food, my head held low. I'll never have this. No, I ruined all chances of being close to my family by being bisexual.
"So Liam, do you think you'll be perusing a career in football?" Aleksei's dad asked, bringing me out of my sad trance.
"Not really, it's just a hobby." I smiled.
"What?! But you're great at it!" Aleksei pointed at me with his fork.
I smiled at my plate, a blush threatening to creep up to my cheeks.
"And he's mad smart." Aleksei added as he spoke to his parents.
"And you still manage to be such a punk after being his friend?" His father said with a smug grin, "learn something from the boy, he's got a lot to teach you." He added giving me a proud smile
"Well, I'm just glad you're friends despite the differences, it's nice to see Aleksei without Alfie for once." His mother said with a sweet smile.
His father nodded and I felt a wave of happiness wash over me at their approval of me.
"Speaking of which, we're going uni hunting next Saturday."
I looked at Aleksei with a confused expression. We were?
"With your band mates?" His father asked before taking a sip of his water.
"With Liam." He said solemnly and I quirked a brow.
Both his parents nodded in approval mindlessly.
Aleksei subtly looked over me with a cheeky smile playing on his face.
We were soon done with dinner and Aleksei dragged me up to his room after I excused myself from dinner.
"Finally." He said as he pushed me into his room and shut it behind him.
I gulped.
His back was pressed to the closed door and a smirk played on his lips.
He slowly walked over to me as I backed away from him, our eyes locking and my world freezing.
Was this it? The moment I've been dreaming about? Was it this simple?
I didn't know what was going on in his hardly functioning brain but he kept walking over to me as I kept backing away, until my calves hit the foot of his bed and I fell back onto his mattress.
He quickly sprung onto me and held me in a bone crushing hug, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! They'd have never let me go to a university party!"
I couldn't call them kisses but he definitely pressed his lips to my hair between every 'thank you'
He really did.
And I think we've already established how easy it is for me to swoon over the littlest things Aleksei does, not to mention this wasn't exactly a little thing!
My mind wasn't working and i didn't really care about the consequences as I wrapped my arms around him, nuzzling my face into the crook of his neck.
He knew I liked guys, so what if he knew I liked him. I couldn't be arsed.
He didn't pull away, in fact his grip on me tightened as he stayed still.
And quiet.
He slowly leaned back and looked into my eyes, his room was dimly lit but I couldn't miss the confused glint in his eyes as he stared into mine.
I think we were having a moment.
His hands were still draped over my shoulder whilst mine clung to his waist.
Nothing about this was straight, it screamed of rainbows and sodomy.
I was aware that if we stared at each other a little longer we would have ended up doing pretty gay things but of course I had to ruin the moment, "Oh you've been to Moscow!"
Aleksei looked over to the photo frame I was addressing, "Tallinn, Estonia." He quickly moved away from me and adjusted the frame.
I whistled and looked over his room, only now taking in every detail. Everything about his room somehow embodied him.
The walls were covered with posters, towards one corner of the room stood a large speaker of sorts probably for his guitar and next to that stood a sad looking shelf with at least 24 records."Do you wanna borrow one?" He asked as he made his way to the shelf.
I walked over and stood beside him as he flipped each record over, "have you heard this?" He asked pulling out one which if obviously never heard of.
I wanted to come clean, "I haven't heard of any of them." I mumbled as I weakly gestured at the shelf.
"Not even good old-fashioned lover boy?!" I could see the betrayal and hurt flash across his eyes.
I shamefully shook my head, "I'm not all that familiar with this kind of music if I'm being fully honest. I just really like watching you play."
There, the cat was finally out of the box and I awaited for Aleksei's disappointment.
I redirected my embarrassed gaze from the floor back to Aleksei to find him looking at me with a smug grin, "you like to watch me play not listen to me play?"
I began to fumble with my words, his accusations weren't fully wrong and that's what caught me so off guard. He knew I always looked at him, he knew it was all for him.
And yet he didn't confront me about my feelings knowing all to well I liked guys?
He held out two record, "You can borrow these: greatest hits." He wiggled his brow.
"I don't own a record player."
"Oh."
"I do have a CD player though."
"Well, I guess you're going to remain uncultured then." He said as he racked through one of the drawers in search of a CD.
"It's alright...I'll do my research." I said sheepishly.
"Or you could just watch me play." He fluttered his lashes.
I gently shoved him and he chuckled.
I'm in too deep.
