Ishi was carelessly throwing clothes in a big suitcase as she and Shrinkhal were leaving in the evening to visit Ishi's mother. Shrinkhal saw the sadness on her face but knew that she was scared to be hurt by her mother again.
Guru and Alia would be staying back home. Alia didn't know how to react because she was more worried about Ishi's mother. Guru had his excitement contained in himself, he couldn't wait to spend more time with Alia.
"Will you guys be able to cook?" Ishi spoke still knowing that both can cook pretty good edible food.
Guru smiled while tapping on her shoulders, "Don't worry Mom, Alia knows how to cook otherwise I'll go back home to maa-paa isko yahin chodh doonga."
Alia throws her slider at him which makes Ishi giggle, "I am just worried you know. I don't want Mum to make it a big deal of us running away and I don't know I'm clueless."
Alia stopped chuckling, making Ishi sit next to her. She caressed her back, "It's going to be a great news don't worry. I know everything will be alright this time."
Ishi sighed and hugged saying that she would miss both of them. Soon, Shrinkhal was all set to go meet Ishi's mother. He remembered the last he had met her like 2.5 years back. She was pissed and he realized Ishi is like her mother when angry.
"Babe, come here!" Shrinkhal pulled Ishi while holding her wrists as she hadn't had any energy to get up and simply wanted to skip going back home. He held her in his arms while gently stroking her back to calm her down.
He felt happy to be the same with her as they used to be. How he'd calm her down and how she'd take care of his ass when shit went down? Putting the luggage in the car's trunk while waving 'goodbyes' they were ready to go for their little trip and to meet the person whom they were scared of.
Too much fun, isn't it?
The drive to home was full of giggles and snorts as they reminisced about the moments they all spent together. Those were the magical memories that were somewhere embedded in their consciousness. They felt super grateful for how far they have come as they will keep choosing each other every day over themselves.
Soon they reached Mumbai meeting the most hazardous traffic Shrinkhal had ever seen. Nani was ready with her 'pooja ki thali' to welcome them. Nani reminded Shrinkhal of hs Dadi. of Dadi. He was nervous at first but after meeting Nani he couldn't resist but touch her feet for blessings.
"God bless you, my child," Nani held him closely in her left arm, and her other, she was holding her granddaughter.
Nani asked both of them to freshen up first as Maa would be joining them for dinner. Out of immense euphoria, Nani ran to the kitchen to cook something sweet for her favorite kids. Especially Shrinkhal as he came home for the first time.
Ishi sheepishly held Shrinkhal's hand and took him into her room upstairs. Her room was no less than a princess' shown in movies. A big king-size bed with so many plushies were placed perfectly. Ishi jumped on her bed and sighed, "I missed my bed."
Shrinkhal didn't know what to do so he stood there looking at her. Ishi pulled him too in her bed while cuddling and snuggling closely. They stayed like that for a while before changing and going downstairs.
They hurriedly moved down as it took almost an hour because of their impromptu dirty business. Maa and Nani were already sitting at the dinner table waiting. Ishi forwarded and greeted her mother. Maa got up, hugging Ishi, and then softly her lips curled in a smile. She pulled Shrinkhal in a hug too as he was about to touch her feet.
"How are you, Maa? Kaam kaisa chal Raha hai?" Ishi asked while taking a seat opposite Nani and escorting Shrinkhal next to her.
"Everything is all good. Kaam bhi acha chal Raha hai," Maa spoke.
