Ishi was just physically there in her house but mentally she wasn't at peace. Trying to think, what went wrong? What was her fault? Is Shrinkhal okay? Is he being able to manage himself? He's all alone and so is her.

Ishi was lying on her bed all curled up in a ball while looking at the pictures of them together and the moments they cherished. Her eyes were moist and her mind was blank. A knock on the door broke her trance and daydreaming.

Ishi cleaned her face, "Yeah come in?"

"Are you sure?"

Some girl asked her who was standing on the other side of the door. Ishi got confused and got up from her as she was smiling to herself and trying to recognize the voice.

"Alia?" Ishi guessed.

The door wide opened and a girl grinning at Ishi was standing. Ishi screamed and jumped onto her. Alia picked up her bunny and threw her on the bed.

"Kaisi hai?" Alia asked while breaking the hug but still holding Ishi.

"Main bilkul theek tu bata? Kab vapis ayi Canada se? Tujhe pata nahi tujhe kitna miss kara maine?" Ishi fake cried and was immensely happy to see her.

"Sab acha hai! Aur bata ke surprise thode deti? Aunty se pucha tha maine Ishi kab aa rahi hai unhone kaha kabki ayi hui hai tujhe hafta hone wala hai aur mumma ne bhi nahi mujhe bataya tere bare mein jab ki we live just next door. Hadd hai dono ki!" Alia smacked her forehead.

"Haha. Tujhe pata hai dono ka khud se fursat mile tabhi bachon ki dekhein yeh.... Khair tu bata? Kaisa Raha graduation wahan? How's Chetan? Please give me some good news." Ishi sat on the bed excitedly while folding her legs.

Alia smiled softly and nodded at her, "Yeah! It's good news we broke up. I am feeling better now."

Ishi screamed and hugged her again only she knew how her best friend was suffering in that toxic relationship. Alia got to know about the situation between Shrinkhal and Ishi through Nani but pretended as if she doesn't know anything.

Alia gently caressed Ishi's hand, "What about Shrinkhal? Sab theek hai tum dono ke bich mein?"

Ishi zoned back but told everything to her from the beginning. In front of Alia, Ishi can never stop venting out. She laid back on her bed, "So, this is the story of my life. No less than a Bollywood movie, right?"

Alia lie down next to her and hugging, "All you need to do is relax and think straight before taking any decision. It's gonna affect you both for sure, you know that."

Ishi nodded and didn't say anything. Nani came into their room to call them for Dinner, "Beta aa jao dono ab khana Khalo aake baaki baatein baad mein karte rehna."

It had been a week now and Ishi didn't feel like eating dinner with anyone she would simply sit near the window's ceiling, eating food all by herself. Alia and Nani insisted as she should come down and have dinner with them.

Ishi was excited to meet Alia so she happily ran downstairs before Alia and Nani could even take a step ahead. They laughed when Ishi fell on the last step. Her mother gasped and helped her getting up.

Ishi spoke in annoyance, "Hasna band karo tinon sirf main khud pe hass sakti hoon."

Nani held Alia by her shoulders and made her sit on the chair as it was Ishi's usual thing to do and they simply chose to ignore her. Maa and Nani took their places too and Ishi felt defeated because nobody was giving her attention so she quietly sat in between her mother and Alia.

"Kaisa Raha beta sab Canada mein? Mummy papa theek hain?" Maa was talking to Alia while serving food to Ishi.

"Ji, aunty sab acha tha. Mummy papa bhi khush Hain mujhe milke. Itni saalon ke baad vapis ake mujhe bhi bohot acha lag raha hai especially Ishi Pishi se milke...Nani, you don't know apko kitna miss Kiya Maine wahan."

All four of them kept chatting while eating dinner, Nani had made kheer for Alia. She was pampering and loving her more which made Ishi jealous.

"Haan Nani theek hai. Ab apki favorite beti aa gayi toh mujhe bhool Gaye na? Mere liye toh kheer abhi Tak nahi banai apne."

"Toh beta woh kitne saalon ke baad ayi hai Ghar," Nani tried to answer calmly.

"Toh main bhi toh pure do saalon ke baad ayi hoon Ghar."

"Tumhe toh itne time se bulate reh Gaye hum tum khud hi nahi ayi. Khair chalo acha hai ab ayi ho toh yahin raho vapis jaane ki zaroorat nahi." Ishi's mother said while looking at her unbothered.

"Kya matlab hai apka?" Ishi asked in surprise.

Ishi's mother got up while announcing, "Kal tumhe ladke Wale dekhne aa rahe hain tyaar rehna shaam mein. Iss baar koi batmeezi nahi tumhari."

Without listening to her daughter's answer she walked out. Everyone was shocked to hear this especially Ishi as she has already told her mother that Shrinkhal has proposed to her for marriage. Just when she thought everything was getting better something new happens and breaks her all over again.
