Nani decided to go to Dehradun with Shrinkhal and Ishi to meet Shrinkhal's parents, as she didn't want to delay the meeting any further. Ishi hesitated, feeling it might be too soon, but Shrinkhal was confident and eager to marry her as soon as possible.
Ishi couldn't do much to stop things from unfolding. She might have been scared about how everything would turn out, but deep down, she knew it would all be fine.
Meanwhile, Guru and Alia did a great job cleaning the house. By the time Nani, Ishi, and Shrinkhal arrived, Mama, Papa, and Dadi were already there.
Excitedly, Ishi ran into Dadi's arms. "I missed you, Dadi."
She touched Dadi's feet, then greeted everyone else. This was the first time both families were together, and Ishi couldn't stop blushing. Shrinkhal sat across from her with Nani, while Ishi sat between Dadi and Maa.
Guru cleared his throat and teased, "You both are blushing as if you're meeting for the first time."
Then, he turned to Dadi and Nani, "Dadi, Nani, since we're all here, why not do their roka right now?"
Maa nodded in agreement, "I've been telling Sinku to let me make Ishi my daughter-in-law, but today, we won't listen to either of them!"
Dadi turned to Nani. "We really love Ishi. You must give us your daughter now."
Nani smiled and stood up. "Ishi, come sit with Sinku. I'll bring the pooja thali."
Before she could leave, Maa stopped her and went to fetch everything needed for the shagun herself. Ishi and Shrinkhal sat there, too stunned to say anything, both lowering their heads shyly.
Meanwhile, Guru video-called Ishi's mom to surprise her. "Aunty, I wish you were here too."
"Aunty, should I book your tickets?" Alia raised her eyebrow while helping Mama, Dadi, and Nani with the preparations.
"I'll come soon, dear," her mother replied.
In the corner, Dadi and Nani whispered something to each other. Papa noticed and gestured to ask what they were discussing. They simply smirked and placed wedding rings in front of everyone.
Ishi's eyes widened in confusion. "Weren't we just supposed to have the roka?"
Shrinkhal gently took her hand and whispered in her ear, "Relax, Ishi. Whatever is happening is for the best, and everything will be fine. I'm always here for you."
Ishi always had commitment issues as she didn't want to marry someone who's careless like her father. Deep down Shrinkhal made her overcome this fear but again she is still scared and never wants her insecurities to come to reality.
Shrinkhal held her hand gently with his smiling face and excited to step towards the next step of their lives together. Ishi couldn't help but look into his happily eyes and calmed down. Maa wrapped Ishi in red dupatta and the rituals began.
The whole time Shrinkhal didn't leave her hand which did make her blush really hard as Guru and Alia constantly were teasing them. Both exchanged the wedding bands which made Ishi too emotional. She sobbed silently while feeling the most luckiest girl alive.
As Guru and Alia grabbed their hands to click pictures, shrinkhal took her away into the kitchen just to hold her in his embrace. She broke down and sobbed against his chest. Shrinkhal cupped her face, "mat ro bacha, you know I am feeling so grateful and I want to scream on top of my lungs. I am going to marry my dream girl! What else I want?"
Ishi chuckled and peaked his lips, "I love you Mr. Pati."
"Ooh! Are we officially pati-patni now?"
"Ahan!" Ishi cleaned her face with his shirt and laughed.
Guru and Alia joined them too, "Bhabhi welcome to Bhushan family."
"Jiju welcome to Malik family ab main apko bohot tang karungi."
"Tum vaise hi sabko bohot tang karti ho!" Guru spoke while hiding behind Ishi as Alia advanced to pull his ear.
"That's true!" Ishi agreed.
Guru and Alia were about to start fighting again but Shrinkhal stopped them, "are we going to celebrate or not? It's my big day."
"Hey! It's my big day too, okay?" Ishi crossed her hands over her chest.
"Okay! I'm sorry, biwi ji! Aap jaisa kahengi vaisa hi hoga."
"Abbey saale, shaadi Hui nahi abhi se hi biwi ka gulam ho gaya?" Guru teased him while smirking at Ishi.
Shrinkhal puts his left arm around Guru's neck, "Dekh Bhai! Yeh samjh le ke kuch bhi ho jaye humesha biwi ki side hi Leni chahiye. Hai na? Papa?"
Paa nodded while looking at Maa, "Bilkul sahi beta."
"Toh ab samjh gaya?" Shrinkhal asked him again.
"Yessir!" Guru leaned to touch Ishi's feet.
Ishi pats his back as her and Alia laughed at them. Later, they clicked a few pictures and met some of their closes friends to break the news.
